I don’t want Jimmy G. He is always hurt.
But, he’s also done pretty well when healthy. Ultimate what if

Trade down for multiple 2024 1st round picks and improve OL/DL. Build from the inside out so a GOAT QB has a chance. If you want a contender, don't act like 500 is the goal.

I feel like every year everyone thinks the NEXT year's QB draft class will be way better. Last season I kept reading that it was a bad year to draft a QB because the next year would have Bryce Young and CJ Stroud, two much better QB prospects. Now this offseason I feel like people have soured on both those guys to some extent. We can't keep kicking the QB can down the road, they need to get someone that they think they can make work and commit to it. I only want them to roll with Mills if they truly believe they can turn him into a good QB. If you don't believe that, then draft someone and work with them.

I bet Jimmy G ends up in Vegas or Carolina.

You didn't read this from me.

I didn't like last years class or this years class, although I did think Levis had potential to become a true franchise QB.I was wrong.

I understand your perspective, but last year wasn't a great QB class. Look at the rankings at NFL.com in retrospect... https://www.nfl.com/news/2022-nfl-draft-pro-execs-scouts-coaches-break-down-the-qb-class To be honest, I liked Matt Corral the best of that group and he went down with the dreaded Lisfranc injury in the preseason.

This year has some guys who excelled in high-profile college programs, but have questions as to how they'll do in the NFL. I don't want to trade up to #1 for a QB and I really don't want to take a QB at #2, but that's my personal preference. If Caserio and Ryans believe BY or CS are the answer for our QB need than so be it, one of them will be there at #2. However, we're in the midst of a full rebuild and adding a foundation of talent is critical to our long-term success. The question has been debated at nauseum on taking a QB now versus next year, so I won't go down that road now. Instead, I'll see what happens in the next few months--especially at combine.

I'd make it a priority to go after that FA Philly Dlineman or Washington's (Payne i think) .. I wouldn't spend money on the offensive side unless it's a clear major upgrade..

I appreciate the admittance on your Levis valuation, but honest question: what makes your thoughts this year on Maye and Williams different? And why not think you are wrong on Young as well?

Payne (DT) and Bradberry (C) in FA.. then draft the skill players and let them all grow together.

Williams and Maye have more natural ability, stronger arms and mobility etc... than Young and they are taller along with having the size, frames to withstand the NFL pounding all NFL QB's take. In short no QB Young's size has ever been successful in the NFL and I'm willing to bet Young isn't a unicorn.
