We have a championship starting lineup, now we need a good bench (6th man)

Honestly I like Lin but that is a brilliant idea

 

I want J Jack badly. Putting Lin as our 6th man to play pick n roll with Dwight(or whoever is next best roll man) while Harden and Jack rests sounds awesome.

 

The Heat were cruising that year and then blew the big lead in Game 2 of the finals after they got cocky. Otherwise they'd have 3 straight. They were a better team the following year, but the '11 edition was hardly a debacle. The 13 Lakers were a farce of mismatched aging parts and a bad coach.

 

Of the guys we had to pass on to clear cap space for Dwight, Garcia is the one I hope we pursue the most.

He proved he can hit the three and be a good defender. I nice combo off the bench.

Those who want Lin to be the 6th does not know Lin's game at all. Lin is typical person you need to let him get warmed up by playing long time. He needs to get into the rhythm of attacking by playing certain minutes. He is also a clutch player. If you notices the Linsanity score, a large % came in 4Q and he played all 4Q.
With DH coming on board, the dynamic of the team will change, How can DH12 and Harden co-exist become a more important issue.

Why would Lin be best as a Sixth Man?

 

Many of these posters have zero clue. Jack? pulease. There's only one ball to go around and you'll already have two ball hogs in Harden and Howard, why add a third? or a 4th if they can swing a deal for Josh Smith. A big reason why the Rox did well last year was chemistry. That worries me more than anything.

some "lin fans" say lin is best when he's handling the ball and playing his natural "combo guard" role.

coming off the bench and getting a bulk off his minutes with the 2nd unit would allow him to play his game that be played in ny instead of sitting at the 3 point line while harden handles the ball.

 

What has Canaan done to warrant being the sixth man?

 

We have our 6th man....that's Asik. We just now need to sign better shooters like Jaret Jack, Corey Brewer, Delfino and Garcia.

 

Dude Jack can come off the bench and no he doesn't need the ball in his hand. He plays with Curry and was a SG so he doesn't need the ball.

 

So you decide to place Jlin's role based on "Lin fans"? Glad you are not the coach.

Lin needs to be on the court for at least 32 Min a game to be effective. The reason he was not so effective has to do with Mcfail pulled Lin off the court while he just get warmed up.

 

i never said that should be his role. just repeating what some lin fans have been saying the past couple of month.

 

I think they should try Lin as the 6th man, allows him to handle more when Harden is resting. At the very least, Lin is taking at least one step down the pecking order anyway. This just opens him up to a bigger role, if he wants it. Beverly's hustle and Canaan's sharpshooting fit better next to Harden anyway.

I really hope they keep Asik around. I suppose I'll understand if he just wants to leave regardless... Twin towers Defense still having 3 good scoring options on the wings, not to mention Howard has some post game.... championship!
