Something significant would need to be done if we’re truly going to compete for a chip. Ideally we come back to beat the dubs but if not i find it valuable to know exactly how we measure up so we know where to go from there.
I think by the end of the series it'll be obvious that we need another elite level talent to compete with the ridiculous super team that is the Warriors. A top level 3/4 guy is the obvious candidate, so LeBron definitely fits that bill. Other guys could work as well, like Kawhi or Paul George. But LeBron is the best and I see us having even less of a chance to grab those other guys. Getting LeBron doesn't guarantee that you're better than GS, but it gives you a better chance.
I'm convinced, he did beat the worries by himself 2 years ago, he's the GOAT and will never decline unless he gets a career ending type Injury.
Guys I heard that we did not need Lebron because Rockets EGo is a supersub & legitimate star. Clearly breaking chemistry is the lesser option than adding the GOAT. Morey if you reading this, don't chase Lebron, whom will enter his 4th prime, and continue trot out the 2nd oldest roster in the league.
Agreed, this is imo our biggest weaknees right now, like i said yesterday the Warriors best lineup has Durant and Green in front court, they literally have talent in all 5 spots when it matters, on the other hand we have Clint/PJ/Trevor, that's some pretty big difference there.
