    Thats cause the team didnt have a SG like Drexler. Drexler is one the main reasons why the Blazers didnt draft Jordan.

    and they already would have had a pure centre in hakeem, sampson could go to pf, bowie not, whereas drexler and jordan could both play sf and sg.

    On the other hand, Sir Charles Barkley was also available and could have played SF or PF as a rookie. Hakeem, Barkley, Drexler for their whole careers. Jordan would be talked about in the same way that Dominique is.
