    Silas was almost as old as Brown, but without the resume. Not the best long-term choice.

    What makes you think Van Gundy would be willing to take BS from young players? Some his ex-players described his practices as "boot camp."

    Silas' accomplishments in Charlotte pale in comparison to Van Gundy's in New York...doubly when you compare their playoff success.

    I'm not saying any of that. I'm just saying that we had a superficial flirtation with Paul Silas when we should have considered him more seriously.

    Cleveland sure jumped on him-- about as quick as Detroit on Brown.
