Hey guys did you know that Barkley would be absolutely annihilated by "today's Western Conference"?

Inb4 "are you comparing Charles Barkley to...".

Patterson partially solves the problem with his average PF size and slightly above average athleticism. He plays like a near 7 footer IMO.

If we somehow lose Yao, maybe we can sign Oden and fill our open injured center slot.

    1) Sign Dalembert

    2) Sign D. Jordan

    3) Trade for Granger
    - Trade Bud, TWill, Hayes(he now has good value), Dragic, picks, and cash
    4) Sign Landry

    5) Draft a PG with the 14th pick

I apologize for my ignorance, but how will that make us like the Nuggets?

and most rockets fans want to bring him back to pay yet again to get hurt. some fans buy into the he makes Les money thing... like that really matters to how good the rockets are.

Forget the deal for Granger and Landry and this looks like a wonderful idea. We would definitely have a contender with Dally and Jordan added.

if we pick up Deandre, DHo, or similar and couple that with Patterson and Hayes then we will be solid. We have quality bigs just not anyone to properly hold down the middle.

That's an awesome idea! While we are at it, why not get Howard and cp3 to come here! Then we would be unstoppable...

Someone should alert DM to this thread before Cuban gets his eyes on it

You are absolutely correct. We need not one but two guys who can protect the rim, not unlike Dallas. They could be as lame duck offensively as Chandler and Haywood are, but as long as they protect the paint we could become serious contenders.

The need for paint protection is much more urgent than getting that defensive s/f. Don't know about you guys, I am just sick and tired of watching layup drills against us.

Just hoping that Thabeet turns into Deke. No need for that freak of a nature Deke, just that old dinosaur version of Deke is good enough and I will be thanking the basketball gods.

Hell, I would have been happy getting a guy like Aaron Gray. He's more than competent to play better if put along Chuck Hayes. Hill sees how well Gray is playing and it sparks the I can do that better type of attitude. It's no secret that something is inadequate about Morey. We blame it on Yao or Yao + Tmac's contracts but other teams have managed to get competent bigs with even worst stranglehold. I hate the 6'9 is good enough bs when it clearly isn't. I thought Yao made Leslie a more than wealthy man, can't he afford to spend like Cuban? I think the problem is stinginess and it probably is.

    That made me laugh.

We should try to pick up Derrick Rose, or you know someone similar.
