If you look at his predictions and how he was wrong the last few games I would say there is a reason he hasn't posted since Dec 28th.
excuse me for my math. i thought we only had 82 games a seas. since we are now at 17-17. there should be 82-34=48 games left.
You are right. I just took the number the first poster posted and posted a ratio that I thought was realistic (something close to 2:1). So make it 32-16, please. That would mean 49-33 in the end, which should be enough to be in the playoffs.
actually we'll go 33-15 and hit 50 games. We don't even have to be .500 against the elite teams to do it. That's how soft the schedule is.
Six games out of Dallas doesn't seem that bad, we're done with played two games against the Spurs, three against the Mavs, and two against the Suns. We've seen a lot of the premiere teams and we're not even half way through the season! It's downhill from here (knock on wood) hopefully. The upside, is that since we've seen so much of the heavy hitters, they are gonna start to play each other, and when they do, someone has to lose and give up their spot (as long as we can take on the weaker teams).
are you serious, we got blown out many times last year and the year before. you are really specimistic about this team.
Listen here, dude. Anyone can be critical of anything on this board. It is for discussion and debate. Calling someone a "total loser negative type of poster" does not help your argument at all, it makes you look like you have nothing to say so you resort to name-calling. By complaining about what others say and name-calling, isn't that being negative? The way we shot on the free throw line that night, we were trying to lose. Pointing that out is not being negative for the sake of it. This team is not up to anyone's expectations, and if someone can't get emotional and pissed about it, then their is no point of having a debate board. We should call the board a Rockets compliment board and we can all comment on all the positives. Is that what you want? Please work on your spelling and grammar as well.
You have to always "Believe"! It's not over till' the fat lady sings. New coach, a bigger Yao, everyone stepping up, some good looking rookies and a better looking schedule. Only if Mcgrady can play within the offense, the way R.A. designed it, we'll be okay. In the playoffs anything can happen! We Believe!!
Thing is, the Pistons werent leaps and bounds better from the FT line. So they were trying to lose it too.
to try to get this thread back to its intent.. have yall looked at how close the spread is in the West standings... everyone is close to the same record in the top 8... HTML: Phoenix 24 10 .706 - San Antonio 23 10 .697 ½ Dallas 23 11 .676 1 Portland 21 13 .618 3 New Orleans 23 11 .676 1 LA Lakers 21 11 .656 2 Denver 21 13 .618 3 Golden State 20 15 .571 4 ½ Utah 18 17 .514 6 ½ Houston 17 17 .500 7
Looks like they won the losing game. Or did they lose the game of winning? By losing did that mean they won?
Thanks for the post. Actual data is always refreshing among all the opinions. Still, when I look at that, I see the dropoff after the 8 seed and I also don't see many in the top 8 that are going to lose much more frequently than the Rockets, except the Lakers, obviously, and probably Portland and Denver. We've got quite a climb ahead of us.
They gonna start facing each other someone have to lose, of all of 10 top team in the west Houston will have the easiest schedule and T-Mac getting back. BTW the race is so much close that the entire list seed in the west can completely change from top to bottom.
