The bar set for him by some folks is insane. Look at hardens rookie year. we’re not winning a ring this year, the goal is to develop talent..let’s just enjoy it. Mobley wasnt coming here, bringing him up is dumb, not to mention building around a big man says are over. A solid wing you develop and nurture will pay far more dividends
Harden had Durant and WB on his team who were better , were he the Only top pick, he would have been starting
And Green is one of the worst players on the entire Rockets roster. Should he start because of his draft position or come off the bench because he's terrible at basketball as of right now? Do we just keep running him out there, or should he have to earn it in any way?
Yahoo rankings https://sports.yahoo.com/nba-rookie...arly-lead-among-talented-class-175622496.html Just saying, thats all
Kind of makes you think whoever put that together doesn't watch basketball. Green isn't even the best rookie on his own team.
Haha. It's killing you you isn't it? It's alright Bobby. We are here for you. GA (Green-a-holics Anonymous) We will keep your identity under cloak and dagger.
What's "killing me"? You finding some ridiculous list on Yahoo Sports clearly put together by someone who doesn't watch or pay attention to basketball? No, I'm totally fine with it. I got a decent laugh out of it even.
I agree The kids are still learning to compete for 48 minutes om things they do well. most of them cant legally have a beer yet. The only gripe I have is that the coaching has to be better. I am not trying to be negative but there is no philosophy or principles that produce avg. shots. Its too much iso
Haha. Look forward to converting you all season long. Eventually you will be admitting to the mistake of doubting Green. See the Vegas odds they posted. Look forward to seeing the development as the season progresses and watching you squirm as a result. Have a good day!
Was just coming here to post this. I was actually surprised. I would’ve ranked Barnes at the top, but I think Jalen is still in the mix that is to that 30 pt explosion. I think he’ll have more of those types of nights and put himself clearly out in front for roy.
There are many things we can’t yet assess about Green. But on this, I think we can all agree, based on what we’ve seen from him in a Rockets uniform: He’s most definitely not NBA ready.
I'm not even grading this kid until halfway or near the end of his rookie contact. Lavine was an all star in year seven, Beal year six, Booker year five. Keep working and improving you game and body JG, investing in yourself pays off over years.
I’m one of the biggest Green homers but having him over Scottie Barnes at the very least is weird. Atleast at this point. The odds are another thing but the ranking is weird.
Im not defending or arguing for or against current ranking All I know is Green and Porter are at algebra level but many CF's think they should be at calculus level. Both will be chugging up rocky terrain, thru snow, sleet, golf ball sized hail, as they play vs quality playoff teams of last season until mid November. They will reach that mountain peak; Porter/Green will then travel a little down hill for a stretch and look much better. The first 20 games will look different from the next 20 games. Just my opinion.
