    Haha you mean the Rockets point guard who doesnt jack up 20 shots, causes turnovers, drives to the basket, shoots very well, is aggressive and can play through anything? If you mean him, yes! I want him back.

    If we crash and burn this season, hopefully they will fire jvg and trade rafer for someone.... anyone... even if they are handicapped and have a huge contract.

    NO WaY!!! :mad:

    Mike James shoots way too much. He's not a true point guard more like a scoring point guard. He passes less than Rafer. :rolleyes:

    Although he does shoot 3 @ a higher percentage.. :D

    But the rockets dont need anymore passers, they need a guy that can score. I would be fine with a scoring pg

    The only thing that we lack is a leader on the team. Billups would be the perfect fit.

    Well ... they need a guy who can score, but they don't need an offensive black hole either. Our point guard better be able to create for others, and not just for himself. Otherwise it's a moot point. At least Rafer does rack up assists at a pretty good rate, in spite of his shooting. I want a guy who can score, but I don't want a midget black hole.

    Forget about any more midlevel free agents coming to this team after the way we have treated other players by this coaching staff.

    V-Span would be perfect, but he is on the bench.

    I like to make the Spurs / Rockets analogy.

    PG:Alston - Parker {the "3rd scorer" / person to break down the defense}
    SG: Tmac - Ginobili {the dynamic scorer}
    SF: Battier - Bowen {the defensive stopper}
    PF: Hayes - Horry/Bonner/Elson etc {the lunch pail role player}
    C: Yao - Duncan {the low post threat}

    Generally we are similar teams, but what stands out to you in that comparrison?

    And what stands out, is the piece we desperately need to help take us to the next level. The Alston / Parker "3rd Scorer" is where we really fall flat here.

    I think the Bibby/Billups talk is pretty ridiculous. We aren't going to get those guys.

    A more reasonable solution is to CONTINUE to persue a Mike James trade. Or perhaps go after Mo Williams with the MLE. Either of those guys would be MUCH better fit as a 3rd scorer for this team than Rafer.
