Well, I think the Rocks will be a great team regardless of what happens to our roster. Right now, the dominance of the NBA is up for grabs. Hopefully the Rockets will realize this, pull their acts together, and take advantage of the situation. It will be exciting watching them grow. And frustrating. ------------------ now -WE- are the underdogs
How much money would Les be willing to spend on this team? I believe we have enough talent to field a very deep, versatile team that could contend for many titles in a couple of years provided our players' work ethics prove strong, their egos remain small, and Alexander's wallet remains deep. Three very big ifs! This Ratliff deal seems too good to be true if he's the player some people think he is, but I believe we'll still be alright without him. Lets get a few things straight. In this day and age the lottery means little. With so many kids coming out early its harder to judge talent because there are so many players that are just flashes in the pan. There is almost the same chance of getting someone great with picks 11-15 as there are 1-10. Theo isn't going to change a damn thing if the Rockets get him. What does he have to offer in the Rockets current offensive scheme? NOTHING. Maybe I am wrong, but I haven't seen anything spectacular about him. IMO Othella was a better player with more upside. ------------------ There is no offense without a good defense.
Not meaning to be the voice of reason hear, but... Dynasties are made with championships not players! The best starting 5, the best team of 12 is not a Dynasty. Dynasties are made by players that step up in the playoffs, that have the heart of a champion. We have one such proven player on our team like that and he is out for a few more weeks. Improving our roster is nice, but let's be careful about that Dynasty thing. That is a sacred word.
I think the Nuggs have a better chance at being a dynasty then us, lets not get carried away IMHO I think Ratliffs game is overrated yeah hes a good defender but so was R. Rhodes, I don't want another damn Cato(although he is lightyears ahead of Cato) with a big contract who has relatively nothing more than what Bo Outlaw has done. If I'm paying someone that much money I want him to be a complete player not just some chump who can play D. Im getting a little carried away with this chump talk, I really like Theo always have liked his game since he was with Detroit but I think we regard his presence too highly. At this point the only thing that will help us is a key free-agent aquisition and the number 1 pick in the draft, then maybe we are good enough to make it to....... .500 ball ------------------ "We need to fockass".....Dream back in the day
