And how did that work out? We lost. To Philadelphia. Without their star rookie PG. Oh, and we scored just 16 points in the 4th quarter. How about that team chemistry again?
He provides stats but watch how he doesn't make a true impact when he is on the court. For a hardcore (and extreme case) example you probably watched last year finals and the incredible difference when Duncan was on/off the court even when he wasn't scoring or touching the ball at all. Just the presence.
The sixers got lucky and we played horrible d. end of story. A subpar team with a scrub getting a triple double in his first start and another average player went on a hot streak. A lot of teams are extra motivated to beat us, so we just have to come on stronger especially in the beginning and end of games.
We're just not a team yet. Mostly because we traded away six of our rotation players last year, and then traded, or released, the players we traded them for. The year before we traded, or amnestied, away 11 of our 12 players and then released every player we traded for except for Douglas and Harden. Made some wonderful free agent signings, though. Still, we keep trading away everybody and we always spend the first six weeks of the season playing pickup ball. It'll cost us some games, but we'll get into the playoffs and we'll be a team by then. It'll work out, barring injury.
We're not supposed to be a contender THIS year. Still integrating lots of players, people sick and dealing with nagging injuries, and Morey isn't done with the Roster yet. We're shooting for a top 4 seed. The team is messy on both ends, but that's to be expected. No point worrying about it until we hit the all star break. Until then, the team is still sorting stuff out. Assuming McHale is up to the job of course... and I have my own personal doubts about that. However, this isn't the thread for THAT particular discussion...
I guess, we still have couple of holes that needs to be patched and attended to. Some good point here... http://dimemag.com/2013/11/rockets-arent-nba-finals-contender/
its still early and harden didnt play.. but then again Rockets blowing 2nd half leads and losing the game is nothing new
We still need to develop chemistry and this was to be expected. I have said it before, as soon as we got Dwight. It is going to take time for this team to mesh. Expect some more close losses and expect some blowout wins, and then we will get to that consistent medium and finally hit stride. It will just take some time.
you guys heard the OP. pack it up. no reason to watch the rest of the season. he has seen all we need to know.
Trade Parsons. Trade Asik if he won't even play. Trade Dmo if he is only gonna warm the bench. Hopefully Dmorey gets good assists with those guys. But what we need even with this line up is More time together Especially guys shooting 3 better than 30 % Guys boxing out Howard's man when he goes for the block And at least give an effort on D Glad the TT experiment is over. I think we should give Dmo A try too before he gets rusty dusting the bench Play Brewer too like tonight against Anderson. N guys have to stop throwing the ball over. So many turn overs. N just really better 3 shooting for real that's killing us. Guys are pump faking like crazy and just scrambling. We need threes to spread the floor
