choose from getting the 3rd best player out of 450+ players in the league or the 14th pick again. your choice.

The problem is no one here called the guy a chump, Mr. Chump. People are trying to make him out as a star (in the making:rolleye) as I and others have stated he is a glorified role player on a starless Rockets team...

I don't care what anyone says but if the hold up for trading a Dwight type player is your reluctence to trade away Parsons, you're gonna be climbing an uphill battle, as a GM.

I don't get why everyone wants to help LA upgrade from Bynum to Dwight for effectively nothing. 1. It's LA. 2. They're giving up NOTHING to go from Bynum to Dwight! 3. Our package alone should be good enough for Dwight, so why even include LA in the process?

For the record I'm against us having any hand in the proceedings. But if you're going to pull the trigger, you might as well do it for Howard. Bynum will become a FA at the end of the year. We will have the cap space to throw the max at him, and if LA wants to hold onto him they can pay him more than that. The end. The last thing I want is to see Dwight in a Laker uniform.

If he bolts, use the cap space to sign Andrew Bynum.

I have to agree with the OP. It's an interesting observation that we can't get DH because our assets aren't good enough for Orlando and yet our prospects are better than Orlando's after they trade him if the rumors turn out to be true. An odd case of intransitivity. They just don't want what we've got.
