That's rather rude, I'm not gay, not that there's anything wrong with that. And I thought the thread had degenerated enough that we all were just talking about nothing. Someone is a bit angry.

And for the record, I like AB, he and I are friends on Facebook. Everyone knows if it's on facebook its gotta be real.

hey "Brooksball" i appologize earlier for me calling you "mr. were not gonna make the playoffs." that was extremely childish on my part when i re-read what i typed, i was just having an extremely awfull day, i hope u understand we all get those some days, and yes, if you really wanna know, i used to be a marine, i fought in operation enduring freedom, was briefly detached to thailand during the "asian tsunami" and fought in operation iraqi freedom where i lost my right leg and half of my left leg and my right arm due to combat action at Al-Anbar Province thus getting me medically discharged from the Corps. I would post a picture of myself but what remains of my face would probably make some people here want to throw up.

It's too bad the West is so freaking deep, otherwise me might be able to field a foursome of Yao/Artest/Stevie/and Scola for the ASG like the Pistons were doing for a couple of years.

us marine- If ur serious about the injuries, I'm sorry to hear that. I also want to say thank u for everything u have done. I have been and still opposed to the war, but I support the troops bigtime. I'm actually working to get money to the injured physically, emotionally, and spritually some help. I've had uncles who were in Nam and when they came back, they had a hard time adjusting back in society. I think we're going to have a lot of young men and women coming back who will be in far worse shape with the multiple tours and the world showing them their crack. Once again, thanks.

LOL. Your Mac hate is so ridiculous, I don't even find you annoying anymore. I no longer think you take yourself seriously, so why should I?

No thanks is necessary for me, i dont consider myself a "hero" unless i die, and i sure as hell didnt.. anywaise yeah i am injured physically, but i am in no way injured emotionally or spiritually because i know that i may be physically messed up, i may be horrendous to look at, but this aint the end of my life, my real life wasnt damaged one bit, only the "shell" was damaged, ill be as sexy as ever when i get my new body in heaven ;) , what gets me through the depressing thoughts of my injuries is faith.. and plus, when i signed up to be a marine, i knew the risks, and i accepted them.. its just comes with the job.. but in behalf of the troops and my friends that passed away over there in the wars... i appreciate your support and it means alot!

Francis is obviously the wild card, but the good thing is that the Rockets don't depend on him being anything for the team. As the face of a franchise he was flawed player, but as a fifth, or sixth option his low basketball IQ would not be as detrimental. Compare a player like James Posey on a deep roster like the Celtics versus him on a team like the Rockets when he was here, or on the Grizzlies a few years ago. In an ideal world, he could be a change of pace off the bench. When he's rolling like he was in Phoenix he could get more minutes. When he's clanging, or over dribbling he can be parked on the bench. Also, Rafer could use some more competition and some rest. Splitting up the the minutes at the one between Barry, Brooks and Alston might be sufficient, but a healthy Francis would be even better. His size at that position could make the Rockets even more versatile. His career trajectory is definitely going down, but it's not inconceivable that he could bounce back, either. I guess the question will be how much does he have left and whether and can adjust to being a role player instead of the man.

No need to apologize to me. I don't know the background of everybody I'm talking to online. These kind of petty arguments happen all over the place on the internet. It wasn't anything personal since I didn't really know a thing about you. It was trivial really. On the other hand, what you did for this country is not. Thank you and I'm sorry for your injuries. I have never done anything as honorable as defending my country. God bless you and thank you. I wouldn't throw up, either. Those are battle scars you got from defending our country. I have nothing but respect for you.

Out of the three you mentioned:

    1) Yao staying healthy
    2) Artest staying relatively sane
    8) Francis contributing

Rooting for Francis, though...it would be a great story if he could come back and be a significant contributor.

nope you are only adding three unknown quantities.

    1) A guy who has missed significant portions of the last two regular seasons. Although I will give you this much, Yao is now a legit force in the league and All-
Star based on merit not on Chinese fans rigging votes.

    2) Artest is huge question mark ?

    3) Steve Francis is a joke.

There you have except for Yao, none of these guys are real All-Stars anymore.

I can't understand all the SF hype based on some party pictures. There is really no way to tell if he's "in great physical shape". No one even really knows what kind of basketball he is playing if he is even cleared to play. I'm extremely skeptical that SF will contribute at all this year. I hope he proves me wrong.
