im not just a rockets fan im a fan of basketball in general. i know how good basketball is played. guys should cut into open spaces and move without the ball. thats why i like watching college ball. it doesn't matter if im watching two teams i know nothing about. i like watching guys pass to the open man, pick setters curling toward the basket, good offense. that's what a team is. the rockets however have done none of that. its hard getting excited watching t-mac iso only to brick terribly.
yea i noticed that as well, i love artest's heart and all but he needs to stop gunning jumpers all the time take it to the hole man. when he did do that he got to the line but didn't make em tonight. He's not very athletic sure hes strong but hes not the athletic finisher around the rim and thats what this team needs. steve francis comes to mind
Anyone who thinks the NFL is more exciting than the NBA, probably also thinks the NFL is more exciting than soccer.
I second the notion of getting a better coach. Who else do you blame when you have tons of firepower and no offense?
Well tonights game may have been the most boring game I ever watched when it comes to the Rockets. They came out flat and the crowd wasn't in there because most people wasn't there.
when part of that firepower is weilded by a hobbled, weary bodied trigger man that insists on shooting off willy-nilly..
what do u mean by that? a lot more people care about football than basketball. heck a lot more people watch baseball than basketball. i dont watch much nfl, but i like watching college football powerhouses go at it. the most excited i've been watching a sports related event was probably the 2005 Rose Bowl when Vince Young won the game single handedly. the most excited ive been watching a rockets game was t-mac 13 in 35. anyway the point is the rockets ARE a very boring team for lots of reasons. its like our superstars lack the most basic fundamentals.
So far this season, calling the Rockets boring is a compliment. But I am pretty sure it is going to get better. I do not expect 22 game winning streaks, but I think it is going to be very similar to last year where the team only clicks around January. And as long as they avoid the injuries the playoffs will be a blast.
I agree, the NFL needs to implement "the Hester rule". Move it back to the 25 and kick it in bounds or the offense starts at the 50. IMO, the return is the most exciting play in football (although being a Bears fan I'm a little bias). Hester has changed the game and yet doesn't even have a KO or punt return for a touchdown this season, simply BC most teams have decided to implement their own version of "Hack-a-Shaq" in the NFL.
what I mean by that is do YOU like the NFL more than soccer? because pretty much everyone who likes soccer more than the NFL *also* likes the NBA/Basketball more than the NFL as well. haha argue you that you "I like football better than basketball" clutchfans member. good luck on that as the sun rises on the other half of the world.
If anyone likes soccer more than football, they MUST like Basketball better than the NFL, because to actually choose MLS soccer over the NFL means that that person must hate the NFL. No offense to soccer, but unless you come from a place where soccer is actually played well... well, I just don't see how you could like soccer so much. Sure I'm generalizing a bit, but come on... you can barely even find soccer on TV in this country! Be an American and learn to love some NFL football! In all seriousness, I doubt most basketball fans that prefer the NBA to the NFL actually prefer the MLS to the NFL too... but that's just a hunch.
JVG was blamed when people said rockets' game ugly, now we realize JVG is innocent. Maybe we should get JVG back to houston.
boring only cuz we are having horrible shooting.. let our team get healthy.. you can't deny the excitement of a healthy rockets team that plays smoothly... it's the beginning of the season.. let's wait and let this team mesh.. and then we can see how boring we are.. till then im excited to see how we turn out and how we go about winning the championship
sounds reasonable since soccer and basketball are actually similar sports. similar when good basketball is played of course, not with the rockets' bogged down offense.
