Tmac is not sulking about Yao being a leader, how dumb is that. Second, you can lead, but first you have to stop getting owned by guys like Okur and having guards stuff you like they're Wilt. Win some games without Tmac holding your hand. Tell Yao homers to shut up and let the team gel. That is all.
I think we will see tonight against Howard how far Yao will have to go to be a true #1 guy. My prediction is that DH is going to strip the ball, block, and score a la Boozer in the playoffs, because he has a quicker, stronger skill set that Yao cannot match up to. I've really started to believe we are not going anywhere with Yao and T-Mac. Oh well, at least I have the new look Astros to get my hopes up. My line prediction: Yao 16 pts 5-15 shooting 7 boards 5 TOs 2 blks DH 24 pts 10-15 shooting 14 boards 3 TOs 2 blks 2 steals If I'm wrong I'll come back here and apologize tomorrow.
You'll find no Yao homer here. I think that Yao is too soft too often but T-Mac is too tallented not to have done more in this league than he has. He just doesn't care enough and of all the flaws I can forgive in a "Star" or Max player this is not one. Losing doesn't piss McGrady off enough. This guy is already over paid and maybe only has 3 years left that he can be the man. I don't see any sense of urgency in him and I don't see him demanding more from the people around him.
Yep, well put you "YOF." His way of demanding more from people around him is to pout and loaf back on defense. Or he'll just throw his hands up in the air like he does when he doesn't get a call from the ref.
Haha, I hope you forgive me for my sarcasm earlier. I'm pretty sure T-Mac hates losing, but sometimes, he probably feels overwhelmed by the lack of anything more than individual success. You can't average what he averages in the post-season without caring. I don't think he cares about who is the leader. I imagine he's in a similar position as Garnett, where winning the title matters much more than who is alpha dog. However, I bet he does think he NEEDS to be leader which causes him to say things such as "its on me". Thats my take on the subject at least.
Yao an alpha dog? rofl thats a good one. More like a puppy dog, like a big clumsy great dane puppy dog with floppy ass ears. lol
I've been at the games, Yao is becoming more vocal: clapping for focus and energy from his teammates during warm ups when they get distracted by conversations or realizing that he can't have his guys too low in morale and seeks out Battier to give him an encouraging pat on the head after he missed a wide open three created by McGrady. It's little stuff like that which he didn't need to do under JVG that will avalanche into even bigger signs of leadership. Tracy doesn't need to go for Yao to continue to grow. Although I really dislike Adelman's system for our team, I do appreciate how he is forcing Tracy and Yao to become his leaders out on the floor for him. It has gotten ugly at times, but it will pay dividends in their growth as players and in the post season.
You are describing what yourself is there. Desert_Rocket is a cowardly puppy dog who insults the Rockets players only when hiding behind his computer screen.
Call me a YOF but at least I haev never insulted any Rockets player. I love every one of them. Unlike you TOFs who have to bash the other Rockets player in order to defend your idol. How more moronic can you get? Can you at least pretend that you like the other Rockets players too? This is a Houston Rockets website after all, not www.TmacIsAllICare.com.
yeah, you're right, we got the unbelievably valuable meaning of your post. So you want to trade the best player on this (who hasn't played exceptionally great, I admit) just so that our beastly aggressive 7'6 turnover machine can have total domination and be the "leader"? why in god's name do you want a "leader"? we don't anyone talking trash and b!tching to the media, it hasn't taken Kobe anywhere has it?? look at the Spurs, who is their "leader"? no one goes out and talks **** about other players and asks them to "shoot after practice" whatever that bullcrap was.. Duncan, the best player on that team, is one of the nicest friendliest personalities in the NBA. He has a great relationship going with his teammates and they just go out there and do their job.. Look at freakin' Kevin Garnette! he never b!tched about his teammates like Kobe has been doing ever since he came to the NBA.. the media were all over KG just to get him to diss the organization/his teammates, but he didn't, and he just said that he will continue to do his job until the last day he is in the NBA.. That, right there, is a true superstar, a true leader, leader by example , not by b!tching to the media while getting the balls stripped from him everytime down the court and getting blocked almost every game.. he's 7'6 for god's sake, how can you get blocked at 7'6?? don't get me wrong, I love Yao's game, I used to love his personality and friendliness.. I don't want him to be an annoying "beast" like many of his weirdo fans want him to be. I don't want him to be loud, I don't want him to curse and beat his chest.. I don't even want him to dunk it hard. I just want him to stay consistent, give 100% of his effort (which he has always done and I am proud of him for probably being the only player on this team that gave 100% effort EVERY game since day 1). winners and "leaders" make statements on the basketball court, not on the post game podium..
LMAO @ the 9-posts YOF calling out us "TOFs". I think you have mistaken this website for yaomaniacs.com ..
I don't understand; Yao was here before TMac. But since Francis is back, does that make him the alpha?
stop trying Nike, this isn't going anywhere. Dude is lost pretty deep in his parallel universe of alpha Ming dogs.. me lovez alpha dogz FTW LuLz..
