    We're taking bets:

If Denver wins this one, what are the odds of either Joey Crawford or Bennett Salvatore getting the call for Game 2?

i'm not really worried about him intentionally getting it. i'm worried about some stupid elbow or throwing the ball into the basket support or a double techincal jawing with someone. i think he'd have the self-restraint to not b**** his way to a tech, but there are lots of ways to get "accidental" techs.

29-11 on ft's now. another drive by the lakers, another non-call. feels like the nuggets are due for a call, they've had to struggle without one for almost 2 possessions. the nba is really rigging that kobe/lebron final.

is this the best game carmelo has ever played?

stroking the jumper, making heady plays, getting an offensive rebound layup and that last good cut for the dunk. under control, all good shots, in such a big game (this ain't just the mavericks).

edit: and kenyon martin has made that little flip shot about 5 times, which is about 5 more than usual.

Before this series is over I hope one of the Nugget players put Fisher on his ass.

Depends if the Cavs start out 0-1 too.

Okay... so how many of you are like me and have an ongoing trash-talk dialogue with numerous Laker ans who talk like they've got the Championship locked up already??

I have been saying this for a few days the fakers are really going to be whining this series. If they thought the rockets were physical nene, birdman, kmart and co will have them running to their mamas. I didnt even mention Billups who might be one of the most physical guards of the past 10yrs.

I'm utterly convinced. Bynum is the new Kwame. fakers overpaid and that will cost them in the long run...or until Stern asks another GM to take one for the "team".

Melo has definitely stepped up since the beginning of the 1st round against the Hornets.

The difference is the Rockets play hard nose defense. The Nuggets do it with dirty tactics on top of their athleticism.

Kobe not getting many calls as he goes to the basket.

And he's throwing another temper tantrum.

Melo is a beast and for the first time in the playoffs he is playing incredible and to his potential.

Melo is playing like a superstar. He's making up for Chauncey's poor shooting.

This game is a reminder of just how bad Dahntay Jones is. Ugh!

I dont really like the Nuggets but I like them better than the Fakers. This game is fun to watch, I love seeing Kobe get outworked and be frustrated about it, whining about calls, etc. Hopefully Denver can hold on.

We all know that Wade,Kobe, and Lebron are at that elite level.

Where would most of you rate Melo, and how far is he from that level?

Denver is going to win this series.

They can thank us for wearing the Lakers down.

If Wade, Kobe, Lebron are considerd "10's". on a 1-10 scale, ten being the best.

    I would rate Melo as a 7.
