free throws 26-11. when they're called is always at least as important as how many. there's no way smith didn't foul kobe on that last drive. and billups and melo have both gotten weak contact called for fouls on drives.
kobe's at 5 tech's now. he's playing with fire. i didn't think he'd be dumb enough to let it get this far this quick. you can't freakin' miss a WCF or finals game b/c you won't stop b****ing to the refs (even if justified tonight, kobe gets plenty of calls his way over the long haul). granted, 2 seasons ago he got his 15th tech in the regular season with 10+ games to go and didn't make another peep to the refs so maybe he'll do the same when he gets to 6. and i'm sure the refs will be aware he has 6 and be ultra-careful with the T.
As much as I hate Kobe, I kind of feel for him. He's getting Yao treatment with the amount of abuse he's taking posting up.
He can't get call in this game, but it's not even close to Yao treatment at all. Plus he always has the benefits of having the likes of Joey Crawfords in the game.
I was going to say the same thing, if Kobe got called unfairly for 10 to 15 games straight, then maybe you could say so. But, he doesn't get treated as nearly as bad Yao.
I think the refs just haven't seen Kobe post up SO much. He doesn't attack and hasn't all playoffs. Makes me wonder if he's tired of punishing his body and would rather shoot jumpers. Either way he's gay in my book.
Kobe is easily the most hateable player in the league.... as a non-laker fan, how could you NOT hate him??
When Kobe gets bruises the size of a baseball bat on his arms and legs then he is getting the Yao Treatment.
