Epic fail on George Karl's part for having the shortest guy on the floor inbound the ball.

Phil Jackson is going to severely out-coach Karl in this series.

When did f4p become Mr. Laker? Disgusting. I guess I let it slide in the Finals (not really). I can't have one of my favorite posters slobbing all over them like that. There is absolutely nothing to like about that team.

He's been Mr. Laker for a long time and doesn't hide it. He often obsesses here over non-Laker games so maybe that's why you didn't realize it. He also isn't obnoxious, which is rare for Lakers fans.

You're being completely ridiculous. First of all, LA was called for way more fouls than the Nuggets. Second, A. Carter made the most boneheaded play so far of the entire playoffs that very well likely cost his team the game, not the K-Mart foul. Third, that was Ariza that slid into J.R. Smith- and the reason he did so was because NENE PUSHED HIM INTO J.R. SMITH!!! Go watch on ESPN- I watched it 3 times, and it was so blatantly obvious that Nene pushed him.

So, here's hoping that yours and all the other ridiculous conspiracy theories will please, please be put to rest.

I can't imagine why anyone would complain about the officiating in that game. It was called extremely well. The foul call on Jones when he slid under Kobe was superb, as were the multiple no-calls on flops.

The Nuggets have themselves to blame for this one. They should have won it. They didn't make their free throws early, and they made two really bone-headed consecutive plays at the end that cost them.

Nuggets had 35 fts, Lakers 24, including 4 coming from intentional fouls to stop the clock in the final seconds. Since when 15+ FT for the road team is called HCA?

if it makes you feel better, i used to hate them with a passion. but that was largely because of shaq and them winning so much. though admitting he's pretty much a selfish *******, i became a fan of kobe's game at some point during their 3-peat and it just kind of carried over into the post-shaq years. i basically anti-bandwagoned them. and then surprisingly they became good and now rooting for them on a rockets site certainly doesn't win me any popularity contests.

I seriously cant stand you basically whined every single plays if things didn't go your kobe's way. You whined about Gasol, Odom and almost every lakers not named Kobe. But you are smart, you just kept quiet when the rockets played lakers else you would have burned alive on this board!

    I was concerned about this
I don't have a high level of confidence in George Karl

Ariza took JR's feet from under him, he didn't just "slide", he deliberately put his feet together and took out JR's base.. take off your Laker-tinted Stern-ass-kissing glasses and look at it objectively, the Lakers are the dirtiest team in the NBA, far worse than the Jazz.. Kobe lowered his shoulder and hit K-Mart straight in the stomach, knocked the wind right out of him, what does he get? FREAKING NOTHING! he gets more high lights on ESPN..

down the stretch, after the Nuggets self-destructed to the max, K-mart was called for a B.S reach in, Gasol got 2 B.S fouls called (fouling out Nene in the process).. there's no way possible for the officals to see the 1-millimeter of Billups' shoe touching the line, he still hit a freaking badass shot and you can't take that away from him.. but I know for a fact that when it comes to "clutch time", you can safely place your bets on the Lakers/Cavs and Stern's gang..

and don't go pulling stats on me, anyone with a pair of eyes knows that the Lakers were the favored team in the last 2 minutes.. no calls + B.S calls on the other end = win for this dirty cheap disgusting team.. I wish them all torn ACLs and I don't feel bad in the slightest.

You guys blaming the refs need to chill. The Nuggets choked down the stretch, simple as that. K-Mart's reach-in foul was a legit call and was very bad judgment on his part. The refs didn't make Anthony Carter go brain dead on the out-of-bounds play. As much as I despise him, Kobe took over the game the last part of the 4th quarter and the Nuggets couldn't stop him when it counted.

    Let's try to stay reasonable.

Melo was hot tonight, I don't understand why they did not go to him more down the stretch. If Lebron or Kobe is hot you best believe they will get the ball.

What does that have to do with Phil Jackson out coaching him?

Ridiculous, ridiculous, ridiculous. I have on Stern's ass-kissing glasses? What are you, 7 years old? Geez- you conspiracy theorists crack me up. This explains why:

    1. John McCain won instead of Barack Obama- because there's no way we could have a black man as president- this is exactly why we had a nationwide conspiracy at the polling booths with tampered machines fixed for McCain.

    2. The Knicks have had several #1 picks over the past 20 years- because the Knicks, being in New York, had to have the cream of the crop.

    3. The CIA, Pentagon, and Mafia all had a hand in JFK's assassination- I would say there were at least 15 shooters on the grassy knoll that day.

    4. Those X Files stories? They are based on true incidents. All the alien anecdotes? They happened.

We all want to believe. The truth is out there.

I just skimmed this thread, but this post is the one I agree with most. Honestly, I can't help but think that the Nugs lost the series last night. They had to steal one in LA, and last night was the perfect opportunity. Unfortunately, Melo & Bird were the only two to play worth a damn.

    I feel like hell today.
