They played great during crunch time! And, they showed some toughness that they didn't show in rockets-lakers series.

the NBA can't be more obvious in working for a Laker$-Cav$ Final .. reach in foul on Martin with less than a minute to go? really? he didn't even touch him..

then that cheap mofo slides behind JR on the last rebound and takes his legs from under him.. I replayed it in slow-mo, it's freaking disgusting..

I hate this team, I hate this league, I don't know what will get me to boycott it, but I'm really hoping for something even really ridiculous to push me to make that decision.. until Stern retires, this league will remain total $h!t..

If the NBA wanted to be obvious in working for a Lakers-Cavs Final I'm pretty sure they would have called fouled all those times Kobe drove to the whole but they did not.

The Nuggets lost tonight because they made dumb mistakes, not because of the referees.

And Kobe wasn't the one who made JR Smith fall. It was Ariza. Watch the replay again.

He got up and tried to run to the locker room. He was limping real bad.

He got up eventually. But they showed him on tv limping off the court (by himself).

I don't know man, if that were the rockets, I would've wanted that foul. That was a reach in up across the neck, you can't dribble through that. And it wasn't Kobe who did that to JR.

I didn't watch completely, but for example, the play where Chauncey made the 3 with 6 seconds left in the game, he stepped out of bounds, and two refs were watching but neither saw that.

And on some plays where I saw Nuggets players fouling Lakers players, there were no-calls, but same in return, Nuggets players fouled by Lakers players, and no call.

I didn't watch completely, though, so I can't really say with certainty.

Agree, and I think refs actually worked in Nuggets' favor tonight, if you have to pick one. Lakers are not used to such physical manhandling and bearhugging everyone and everywhere.

I prefer a Lakers win over Nuggets, although I am a big fan of Billups. But Kobe is really clutch, so is Chauncy. What a game. Rockets still has a long way to go. Not surprising, Bynum is just garbage as usual.

i honestly don't think the nuggets can take is as far as we (the rockets) did.

you guys are way underestimating the level of play that the rockets showed in the last series. i think it's going to be lakers in 6.

the key is that the lakers go where kobe takes them, and there's no one on the nuggets team that is even close to dishing out the defense that shane battier did on kobe. i would almost say artest plays d better than the best perimeter defender the nuggets can throw at kobe.

That's for sure. Without the replay I knew Kobe took a cheap shot there.

Denver choked this game. They're not going to have a better opportunity than this and they blew it. Lakers just seem to have fate by their side or something, no matter how badly they play they seem to come out on top.

    - dumb foul by K-Mart.
    - epic fail by G Karl in the inbound play: why Anthony Carter inbounded the ball? Is Carter your best passer?
    - at least find someone taller to inbound the ball. the pass should throw to the weak side of Billups's defender, not right in the middle. Basically, Carter saw Billups was opened for a sec but hesitated and threw a half-assed pass right in the middle to Billups. The hesitation of Carter let Ariza see the pass and caught up with Billups for a steal.
