I'm okay if Brooks gets suspended, but then Draymond should get suspended with 20+ more back-dated suspensions.
Social media and frankly other NBA talking heads are holding the NBA's feet to the fire on this one. I mean are we going to next suspend players if they step on somebody's foot. Or what about when a player takes a charge and the other player gets hurt because he's taking a charge and falls down to the ground real hard. Are we then going to suspend the guy because he got in the way of another player? I mean you can paint it all you want, but the fact of the matter is that Dillion Brooks was making a play on the ball. Was it the fact that Dillon Brooks didn't get his hand on the ball that is causing the problem? What if Dillon brooks's hand got on the ball, would that have made a difference? People seem to act like they know that Dillion Brooks wasn't going for the ball, which is completely ridiculous. If he was going for the ball and he accidentally hits the guy on the side of the head means that he was headhunting. This is seriously the dumbest I've ever seen. But of course he's probably going to get suspended because all these idiots out here talking like they know what he meant to do. So I guess you can't make basketball plays anymore.
Remember Grayson Allen's flagrant 2 on Caruso earlier this year? He was suspended one game for that, and Brooks' foul on GP was FAR more egregious. I'm not sure intent matters. Grayson Allen actually hit the ball during his flagrant 2 foul.
like I said, none of your homer rants matter and his suspension possibility was real. and yeah I am laughing pretty damn hard since you were so sure of yourself that it wasn't even a possibility
The fact of the matter is you've got 250 lb bodies colliding in midair and you're supposed to stop because oh no, I might hit them and he might get hurt. I guarantee you if it was Steph Curry who did that to Xavier Tillman that there would be no way that he'd be suspended for game 3. The regulation on this is completely ridiculous.
Yeah like you said the entire Twitter universe and social media says he's got to be suspended. He's got to be suspended. He was suspended for ridiculous reasons. Point blank.
but but Nobody, not even the NBA, likes to be manipulated. but the nba knows ja is the future blah blah blah
But but it wasn't just Steve Kerr. It was the entire internet. At the time, it was just Steve Kerr and his bullshit so there's a difference.
From a basketball perspective, Brooks was garbage in game 1 and Memphis didn't even need him in game 2. Don't really think they'll miss him for a game. It might even turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
You do not know what Dillion Brooks intent was. You're supposed to just let him go to the basket. Is that what your solution was? Just let him go to the basket. So at this point, Dillon Brooks is not supposed to try to defend that basket that he's about to take right?
I really want to know what the solution is. We're supposed to just let him go to the basket with no resistance?
