Quin Snyder blew a 3-1 lead in the bubble he lost 4 straight games to the Clippers, 2 of those with Kawhi not even playing…he blew a 25 point lead in game 6 watch him not get anywhere near the level of disrespect that Ty Lue received even tho Lue is a champion and has just coached the Clippers to their 1st ever conference finals… Lue is supposed to be a trash tier coach, but I bet Quin Snyder will never get that kind of talk about him Hmmm, I wonder why that is?
So what? They lost that series by one possession. Utah has gotten better every year. Yea because he wouldnt take Gobert(whos their best player or second best player) off the floor, a lot of coaches wont do that. Lue got disrespect because he had Lebron on his team and he hadnt proven anything. Lue proved himself and he deserves a lot of credit. It dosent mean Quin Snyder is bad.
So what? Lol, they blew a 3-1 lead… so he sees Gobert is out there getting killed and won’t adjust as he loses 2 games with Kawhi not even playing…1 at home, and 1 on the road when his team is up by 25 horrible look What has Quin Snyder proven? Like I said, no one will ever disrespect him the way Ty Lue has been disrespected.
They were the 6th seed playing the 3rd seeded Denver man. Conely was also playing like a shell of himself as well. Yea, its a flaw, all coaches have flaws. And that was a fatal one, Im not denying that. All coahes have horrible looks at some point. It was a horrible look when the Clippers went down 2-0 to Dallas after watching Luka murder Zubac over and over. He's gotten better with his utah team every year. He has no top 10 player on his roster and he led them to the best record in the league. Ty Lue earned his respect. But the reason people didnt think he was good was because most coaches can win with Lebron and Kyrie.
Oh noes! The Jazz blew a 24 point lead and got eliminated from the playoffs! It's ok Jazz fans. There are more important things in life than basketball. Happy Juneteenth day!
yet they still managed to go up 3-1 again Denver and have the lead going into the 4th quarter of game 5 Utah won 2 less games than Denver, the Nuggets weren’t some powerhouse and then Ty Lue saw what was happening and got Zubac and Bev up outta there…Quin Synder on the other hand let Ty Lue have blown a 3-1 lead and then just lose a series like this with Kawhi not even playing in the final 2 games…he’d be branded a trash coach for life…Quin Snyder will get all the excuses tho
the damn jazz just lost 4 straight games to the clippers because he never made any adjustment. its madness. lue mostly gets trashed because idiots say things like, " dur dur lebron was the real coach of the cavs." and other idiots believe it. so now that he is without lebron they expect him to be terrible, but he is putting the league on notice once again he is a top tier coach. as ive said before he was voted by peers as being the coach that is best at in game adjustments.
I bought into the “Lue is a trash coach” narrative at 1 point I’m not even trying to act right now like Lue is the best coach in the league, but he was being branded as bottom of the barrel it’s just crazy that someone like Quin Snyder can have fail after fail, and there will be a whole bunch of excuses made…he’s still considered a very good coach let Lue have done what he did just these past 2 years…there would be no excuses and coppin all sorts of pleas for him sh*t, with the way Snyder makes no adjustments, Cleveland probably loses the 2016 finals with him as the coach
Lue is actually pretty good. He made all the right changes that no coaches in this league would have the balls to do.
Bigs like Gobert will always get exposed at some point in today's NBA. He's the best defensive player on the planet...and a postseason liability in certain matches. You can certainly win with him playing big minutes.. But you also need to have a unit prepared to win without him.
Is that some indictment on him? The Nuggets had way more talent than Utah and it took Murray going nuclear for them to win. There is different between being able to situ Zubad and Bev and Gobert. Maybe? Things are obviously harder for black coaches. But thats not what Im arguing against. Quin Snyder actually is a good coach.
The only adjustment is taking Gobert off the floor and he is your second best player. Lmao, oh well I guess Dantoni should have benched Russ then. Was he not? How many other coaches could win with Lebron.....alot. Its not some crazy criticism. Lue hadnt proven anything. A top tier coach woulndt let Zubac be destroyed by Luka. He has his flaws just like Quin and adjusted. Credit to him. He's a good coach. But having Lebron on your team doesnt prove your coaching ability. Like anyone was supposed to take you seriously to begin with lmao, good for you bro. More evidence has come out, no one was gonna take your word for it.
I couldn’t tell as Utah was going up 3-1 and on their way to winning game 5, but I get it, Snyder will get all the excuses…he will also get all the excuses for losing at home to the Clippers minus Kawhi and then blowing a 25 point lead on the road and my point was never about whether or not Snyder is a good coach, my point is that if Ty Lue did what Snyder has done in just these past 2 seasons, no one would be calling Ty Lue a “good coach”…he’d be branded as trash, and clowned for eternity, but not Snyder…blow a 25 point lead on the road to the Kawhiless Clippers and it’s crickets or excuses
He's not even exceptionally remarkable in the one aspect that he specializes him. Players drive at him with no fear.
Not exactly accurate. It is just a difference between regular and post season. In the regular season, you will an elite shot blocker a few times a year and (excluding this year) never back to back. It is hard to figure out your timing, or exactly what you can get away with when you drive on him. It makes you uncomfortable which is enough to miss shots. As a playoff series gets extended, NBA players get more comfortable playing against they guy. They know that he will disrupt if they take 4 steps but not 3, if they angle this way but that way, or if they put this much float but not this much. All it takes is few inches or slightly different angle and you have space you didn't have in game 1. Also you are seeing it every 48 hours, so you get more comfortable. Issue is that most bigs don't re-adjust by that point in a playoff series.
Really, you couldnt tell when Murray was having like 3 40 point plus games and Connely was playing like trash? He's not getting excuses. He's gonna get blown up. But Im gonna ask are you gonna bench your best or second best player in the playoffs? Yes or no? Doc Rivers still got a job and he's done exactly what Quin has done,no? Again, not to dismiss the struggles black coaches have in this league, they absolutely do. But when coaches are paired with Lebron, its hard to give them credit in the beginning. But Lue has absolutely proven himself as a great coach in this league.
