Utah is surprizing but The Most Complete Teams left are Jazz, Clippers and Suns On the East Side its the nets and hawks Rocket River
I don't know about that. Wade was kinda handed a championship, but he won it either way. Kawhi won one in a similar fashion in the NBA's last full season so we gotta pump the brakes on crowning Donovan Mitchell and deposing Kawhi. Jazz look like they got this series, though. Clippers did come back against the Mavs, but the Jazz are so talented that the Clippers will need to come up to a level that they have not even approached against anyone else outside of a few games against the Lakers. For me, Kawhi was knocked into superstar purgatory after the bubble embarrassment. He would join players like Mitchell if he loses again in a similar fashion. Mitchell would move up to superstar level only if he reaches the Finals, IMO.
I'm starting to get worried that the Jazz will go deep this year. Counting on the Suns and Nets to vanquish evil(er). If the Jazz beat the Suns I will be very annoyed. (Former Phoenician and big Chris Paul fan.) Suns beating the Nets in the finals (Paul vs Harden and Durant) would be beautiful poetry.
What a bizarro world when Mitchell after a few awesome playoff games is crowned as the best Jazz player ever. That is so wrong, even for Stephen A. Smith.
I am thinking he is doing it by looking ahead rather than dwelling in the past. Let's be real here. Mitchell is going to be their Wade. I mean the Jazz never had a real shooting guard. They had PGs and PFs and Cs but not many great perimeter players. That is a fact actually. And they never had a 20 ppg off the bench Clarkson either. Mitchell is different than Stockton and Malone (I guess those were their best players before) he can do it on his own. Stockton and Malone relied on each other a ton. He can even improve his facilitating game in the later stages.
Okay, I can understand it like that. I think he's a "real one" and I wish him the best, but I disagree with that projection.
Never been a Stephen A fan. (his acting on General hospital was cool) The Jazz are taking advantage of traditional powerhouses getting very old or starting to rebuild. Very fortunate and unfortunate for us j*zz haters.
I haven't seen that snippet when they were talking so I do not know the details of what was being said.
You mean in the bubble? That was only one year and 7 games. I'll go against the grain and at least take a wait and see approach with him. I don't expect him to make the Finals and win championships like superstars do. It seems like he's going to get the Damian Lillard treatment by the media. Luckily, his size and athleticism make him better than Dillard, IMO, and his team is definitely better.
Maravich never made the Playoffs with them, Dantley never made it farther than 2nd round. That is very easy to jump over. Conley, Clarkson and Bogdanovich make them that much better of a team in today's NBA.
That's tough. Zubac can't stop fouling. Boogie has no boogie. Real tough. First time for everything, Kawhi.
