Is coaching really the problem? I mean...Devin Booker has a 69.5% TS% for the playoffs. He's making contest long mid range shots like they're layups at the Y. I don't know what they're supposed to do with that. If they were to lose I would look for more 2 way guys around Jokic. Maybe move all your picks and MPJ for a guy like Jaylen Brown that has a better chance of defending guys like Book and KD. Maybe they can't be the best defense in the league with Jokic but you can't plan to just outscore teams that have these historically great jumpshooters like the Suns and Warriors. I don't think Malone's done anything wrong they just don't have the personnel to frustrate Book and KD enough.
Yes, PHX is less deep and is without Paul, but Series is tied at 2-2. It more or less played out, what I imagined. Both teams took care of business at home. Suns has two superstars in Booker and KD. There's enough of offense variance; where series is close. It's a toss up who will advance (I personally had PHX, although maybe I root for Nuggets slightly more). Can easily see this going to 7 games. The surprise for me this playoffs has been MIA. Not necessarily that they're outplaying NYK, but based on how things are unfolding, they might be a dark horse to end up in the finals.
Denver altitude fortress with HC advantage is still huge. Same with Boston. There is no fish fodder in the 2nd round.
To me Nuggets and Suns are closer in terms of margin. Said this on RocketsWatch after Nuggets was up 2-0, that it's likely to swing the other way, once Suns goes home. Role players also playing better at home. Suns is less deep, but they still have Booker / KD / Ayton. Monty is not too shabby himself. They are technically full-strength (in terms of injuries). For the record I voted PHX in 7, but Nuggets can still win, whomever ends up winning, it's likely going into a 7 game series.
The shooting in this playoff series by the star players is out of this world. 20-30, 53 points 14-18, 36 points 20-25, 47 points
I didn't watch the game but that is disappoint to hear I thought JOCIC had the better team. . .Murray had been all world and MPJ was consistent so far Gordan was killing in the previous round Rocket River
I still think Denver should win. The Suns won't win in Denver The Altitude will kill their starters Still I thought Nuggets were much better than them . . that is not the case Rocket River
What the heck is a playoff Ayton? Dude basically quit last year and now he's not showing up. So weird.
One thing that worries me as somebody pulling for Denver--I think CP3 is due for a great game showing everyone he can still ball, and he will be back before the end of the series now that we're going to at least 6. You know he is hungry, this might be his last chance at a ring.
