Probably turn to Capela and the bench boost/role players to bail us out again when the Big 2 aren't shooting that well.
Jrue Holiday is a defensive monster. He always causes problems for Harden, too. He choked the life out of Damian "first team all-NBA" Lillard. What a boss.
Great game, though you could just feel that the Blazers were coming back once they had that 20 point lead and rushed shots. If they end games like that, I could see the Blazers winning this in 6/7, but if they keep their poise the Pelicans will win this as I expected them to. Blazers are overrated.
Why? Warriors are playing the winner. Also the longer the series, the more time for Curry to recover. I want whoever comes out of this series fresh as a daisy to play a Curry-less Warriors and hopefully beat them or at least give them a real test.
Neither the Pelis or Blazers are going to beat GSW. And I really want GSW at full strength. I just want to see a great playoffs. No frickin asterisks.
Rockets are going to see the Warriors full line up in the WCF. Nothing wrong with hoping them get tested along the way. Rockets aren't going to have an easy time with the Utah-OKC winner..Warriors shouldn't have an easy time either. History won't remember Warriors beating a Cavs team without Love and Irving or a Spurs team with Kawhi..just that they won.
And yet Houstons first 2 championships are clearly remembered with asterisks. Media and Kerr have already created narrative that injuries/mental fatigue are reason they are not dominating this season. I want no excuses.
I will probably have to check my "man card" in on this one...wifey just called, she works for a local auto dealership here in the Portland area. The owner of her dealership has floor seats to the Trail Blazers. He's not going to tonight's game and the tickets found their way into my wife's hands. She calls to inform me and my response is...not interested. I like watching the Trail Blazers on tv, but just have no interest in going to see them live...in floor seats. If the Rox were in town...that'd be a different story. But NOP...nop(e). Should I go see a psychiatrist?
That's exactly what I told my wife. Anthony Davis would be fun to watch...but dat unibrow, doh. It's so distracting.
Agree. But he is so damn entertaining. And have no beef with the guy. Can't really stand the Blazers.
Decided to go with my wife. Not sure how much air time we'll be getting...but I'll be reppin' The U of H and will actively waive off the entire arena when the Lillard MVP chants start. That kind of talk is sheer ludicrous.
