Lol I'm over it at this point. If anything I'm still mad about CPs hammy haha. It pains me inside to say it but now that Houston isn't in a heated rivalry with GSW I actually enjoy watching them ball from a pure fan of the game perspective.

To be fair, if you took away Maxey and Harden, made Embiid come out and defend Poole/Curry/Klay while also making Embiid play offense against Draymond, I would think life would be hard. Jokic is running for his life out there, trying to defend all the cuts and drives and different actions...and then he also has to be Embiid and Harden on the offensive side of the ball. That's rough.

Not saying Embiid does or doesn't deserve the MVP over Jokic, but people like to look at Embiid's successes and Jokic's failures for the past few games and then exaggerate how Embiid should clearly win over Jokic. And that's just not fair.

Jokic just looks so helpless on D

anytime GS is struggling offensively, just involve Jokic in some actions and you’ll get guaranteed buckets

imagine what the Harden-Capela PnR would’ve done to this man in a playoff series…would be literal televised abuse

Jokic could have his full roster out there with Murray and Porter Jr, and he’d still be getting worked defensively…he can not guard the PnR or defend out on the perimeter which is why we always used to embarrass the Nuggets and they wanted no parts of us in a playoff series

he shouldn’t be going 9-28 against Draymond

You’re acting like Draymond isn’t and hasn’t been an all world defender.. height isn’t the end all be all. The refs are also letting Joker get manhandled out there.

which brings me to my next point.. you don’t need a center to defend a center.. Hello Jabari :)

It’s crazy how much less Curry and Klay have to work on offense now with Poole playing the way he is these days.

It’s like they got a KD-lite in Poole?

    Just wow…

Jokic is B2B MVP, and 1 of the greatest offensive players according to the stats…getting locked up to that degree by Draymond is inexcusable

it’s the playoffs, he should be used to the physicality…B2B MVP is 6’11 and over 280 lbs getting put under lock and key by little ol’ Draymond

Just imagine if the Kuminga, Moody, Wiseman trio gets going in the next couple of years. The Warriors might squeeze out a couple of more championships before Curry/Klay/Green are officially done.

I think Warriors might just win the chip again this year given all the injuries to other teams

There is a difference between physicality and Draymond Green. Pretty difficult to shoot when a guy doesn't have to play by the same rulebook as everyone else on defense. Constant hand checking, hip checking, holding, grabbing, and bear hugging. It's unwatchable.

Thank god they don't have Bogut or Zaza out there getting away with the same stuff anymore and Klay standing under every jump shooter, so maybe someone can beat them in the second round. Someday Draymond will retire and join Bruce Bowen in NBA ref-enabled-WWE heaven, the NBA will have to find another guy to drive a "defensive reputation" for at all costs. I get that most bigs played like this in the 80s and 90s - the difference was the refs let everyone be dirty, Hakeem, Ewing, Rodman, Mourning, etc.

to be fair he's always established himself as that defensive type player and at the end of the day that's the foundation of what good defense is. It's just a rarity in today's league, so some folks aren't exactly a fan of it. It's the same thing with smart. He's physical and imposing on his matchup.

These type of guys are rare in the modern era. The rules absolutely favor the offensive player today and both are examples of guys who dial that back

Thoughts from Draymond right after game 3, recapped:

    - Jordan Poole deserves MIP
    - Jokic showed up like an MVP would
    - Draymond mentions how he did better in the first two games but how Jokic won the matchup, this game
    - Goes in-depth into the steal heard 'round the world
    - Gives props to basically every teammate
    - Goes in-depth into his mindset, playing defense with 5 fouls.
