No. I think Utah would have an even smaller chance. Denver has the talent. They are too young and too inconsistent. But if they get hot, anything can happen. Jokic needs to be more aggressive.
It did not work out better. Jamal Murray is an outstanding free throw shooter, and he’s the one that made the steal. He will at least make one of two and likely makes both. Instead, the Jazz got a wide open look to win the game that went halfway down before rimming out. The Nuggets were lucky their boneheaded decision didn’t send them home.
If Denver wants to have a prayer of beating the Clippers, they have to bring the defensive intensity they did tonight and be smarter on the offensive end of the court. Jokic had it working tonight and Murray didn’t, but, yet, it wasn’t until the midway point of the fourth quarter that they ran most every possession through Jokic. They are too undisciplined on both ends of the court to beat the Clippers in a seven-game series.

Gotdamn I almost feel sorry for them. I respect how hard they played and didnt hang their heads when they were down 20 in a low scoring game. Mitchell gave it everything he had but needed conley or clarkson to give him help on the perimeter to get a win and tonight wasnt their night. All in all its best for denver to advance. With harris back it really improves their defense. They can give the clippers a run if murray continues to play like a star.
game 7's always seem to be so low scoring. everyone just worn out, knows each other's tendencies. refs called the last 7 minutes like both teams were the rockets. no free throws to be found anywhere.
9 TO's for Spida Mitchell - tried to force it WAY too much.. this is the difference between the top tier and the second tier.
If it's any consolation for Utah (and God knows I hate making them feel less miserable), at least their chokejob didn't happen at our hands. I would've loved embarrassing them for the third straight year and this one would've been the best one yet.
