[WC First Round] (3)Denver vs. (6)Portland

Nuggets and Portland? When do the Nuggets have a series that isn't dramatic? I'm guessing this might be a 7 game series with an edge to the Nuggets.

 

7 game series with the Joker having 4 triple doubles...Denver

 

You would have expected Denver to falter after Murray got hurt...but they didn't. So, I'm going to say that continues, at least through the first round. Jokic may be the best player in the NBA in the playoffs (if he isn't already).

 

Murray is a difference maker so I think game 1 goes to Portland, Denver makes it a series and then Portland closes out in 7.

 

I think Portland steals 2 games with absurd shooting percentages.

 

Im excited to watch one. I want NJ to help defend the big man.

Anyone else just find Denver's court really lifeless? It just really depresses me to look at that court for some reasons.

 

Lillard / McCollum should always look to get Jokic switched onto them. Easy blowby opportunities.

As a Rockets fan it's refreshing to see Dame kill someone else with those BS threes.

 

Jokic can’t stay in front of Lillard, he needs to show harder on pick and roll harder otherwise this series is a wrap.

but seriously, no one can guard jokic but portland might have a decent strategy going. make him score one on one, accept that he will score a lot, hope he isn't ridiculously efficient like he can be (he was ok tonight but nothing out of this world) and keep the assists down. then they started doubling at the end, i'm guessing with the hope that the rest of the nuggets wouldn't be in their normal rhythm since jokic was shooting so much.

i'm always a fan of making stars one-dimensional. if a great player ends a game with basically their normal stat line, i feel like you've failed. i'm either making jokic average 40 ppg with 2 apg or 10 ppg and 15 apg. but not some typical 25-30 ppg, 7-10 apg stuff he's so good at.

but portland was just on fire for a lot of the second half. we'll see if they can keep it up.
