Imagine if Harden did this..... CNN would be talking about it.

LeBron is the biggest loser / media hyped athlete of all time.

Everyone hates the Lakers and Nets and think it would be travesty if they ended up in the Finals as the league is only catering to superstar teams, even some protesting that they will not watch the NBA Finals. Even, say it's bad for the league.

Yet, these threads are super long, especially this one ... 28 pages long. For a team, everyone hates. Though, whoever the Suns play in the next two rounds...I doubt be this long.

all that stuff is nonsense. always has been. The people whining and talking about protesting and not watching are just upset it isn't their team that can win. but they're still watching and following. Its rinse recycle and repeat every year. The length of thread has more to do about the actual matchup over simply thinking the concept of everyone hates the lakers.

the people saying all that nonsense are the same ones who wanted Lebron to come here in free agency and join Harden and CP3 coming off 65 wins and a game 7 in the WCF...that trio would’ve been the most unbeatable thing in NBA history

the ratings for a Lakers-Nets final would easily demolish the ratings for any other combo of teams...if it’s not Lakers-Nets, the finals I’d most be interesting in seeing is Suns-Nets

Nah. Those ratings won't touch Jordan's finals. Wasn't last years LAbron championship the worst or one of the worst rated finals series ever in a sports starved, shut in world? I know everyone tuned in for the last dance though.
-my bad, thought you said it would demolish any ratings ever.

LAKERS win game 6. Easier to swing the momentum for the home team and LeBron does play big in must win game 6s.
Scott Foster comes up clutch in game 7 for LA. Lakers advance.

Are u aware that ratings across pretty much all major sports were way down during the pandemic? MLB was setting record lows when it came to ratings.

“The first five games of Dodgers-Rays generated the five lowest World Series ratings on record, bottoming out in Game 3.”

Sports starved? More like just starving since millions were losing jobs and so many were worried about how they were gonna pay rent, provide for their families, or keep their businesses open.

Its a trend for many reasons. Literal starvation isn't one of them. Politics had a lot to do with it.
None of those sports has a once in a lifetime superstar athlete that everyone has to watch play.

I doubt the ratings improve much for this years Finals even with Lakers vs Nets

I was off on the Lakers covering, but the game was still low scoring and still covered the under.

Lakers are 2 point favorites tonight and a 207 over/under. I'd make the same bets tonight.

Off on the lakers is being generous. Haha. It was only a low scoring game for the lakers because they got demolished and managed to put up a measly 85 pts. While phx put up 115 which is high scoring for them.

Whats happening is thousands of people like me cut the cord and watch our sports on streaming sites which doesn’t count toward the numbers. I don’t have TNT or ESPN. I don’t even have an HD antenna to watch ABC, NBC, FOX, etc. I haven’t watched anything but streaming sites for years and I’m definitely not alone.

If Lakers can pull this one then Scott Foster will carry them in Game 7.

    True story.
