Well we agree on everything except 2. But I think its insane to build a team around forwards in a guards league.

When Lebron beat the Warriors in 2016 in 7 after being down 3-1 & destroyed their 73-9 historic season & the absolute joy that brought me... I told myself that I shall forever respect this man for what he did.

I never liked Kobe or LeBron. I've always hated the Lakers. No way do I want them to win.

The Lakers would have the refs on their side if we played them anyway. I have no doubt in that. The NBA loves the LA teams.

I know it probably won't happen, but I would love to see Dallas beat the Clippers for that same reason. The league would LOVE to see the Clippers beat the Rockets, and I have a hunch the refs would favor them.[/QUOTE]

If we were to play the blazers, I fear whiteside almost as much as dame. This guy just dominates on both ends. He really kills it coming off the bench against other teams reserves. Nurkic i feel like we can live with but everytime whiteside comes in its a problem.

It’s probably still a joke to a lot of people that the lakers will lose this series to Portland but this seriously is a terrible 8th seed matchup for them and at the wrong time When they have not played well at all

The weirdest play for me was the double flop of two Lakers dropping like dominoes at the same time.

Couple of things from this game:

    1) AD is as soft as they come. People keep calling him a top 5 player, and talent wise they are right, but mentally, the guy couldn't beat my 14 month baby if there was any pressure in the game.
    2) Seems like lebron finally has lost a step. He looked a bit sluggish, no explosion on his first step. Even then he had a great game contributing in other ways, but i was surprised to see him that slow, that even carmelo could stay in front of him from most of the part.
    3) The lakers gave up with 40 secs left and down by 5, no foul and no defense. Absolutely terrible, no spirit in this team.
    4) Portland even looked decent at D, with how bad the lakers offense looks. Howard and Ja vale are unplayable, they just unlock the nurkic-whiteside front line that is so much better. They need to get AD to the 5 and kuzma to the 4 and force portland into having a mismatch with AD.
    5) Lakers guards are awfull, against one of the best backcourts in the nba, they are gonna picnic on them.

The only thing Ithe Lakers are any good for is the name Kentavious Caldwell Pope. That's it.

I think they count Dwight as a 7-footer. Nowadays, any big man is counted as a 7-footer. They are almost extinct.

I started grilling some prime 2” ribeyes for my roommate (Laker fan) and in the 4th quarter.

He went in his room after I finished prepping and he never came back out.

Needless to say I’m going to bed very satisfied after a Laker loss and finishing two steaks.

Oh I'm definitely rooting for the Blazers in this one. Can't stand the Lakers and every bandwagon fan of theirs.

    Wenyen Gabriel
    Melo
    McCollum
    Mario Hezonja
    Nurkic
    Whiteside
    Trent Jr

^ Also, that's not an amazing supporting cast that Lillard is working with.

Blazers will sweep Rockets. Dame packed for 3 months. They are winning the title barring injury or covid. Only challenges will be Clippers and Raptors but they will beat them too. This is like when Dirk got hot and Mavs won in 2011.

If we can beat them the Championship will be even sweeter. If we can't beat them we aren't the best team, and don't deserve to call ourselves the best. I want to see us beat the best! That, and Harden winning MVP for leading us to a Championship would make this a storybook ending to all the haters and doubters.

    Lakers have some crap shooters
I guess Danny Green is usually good
Can’t believe ESPN was mentioning they are missing Rondo
That guy can’t shoot either . So Caruso and Kusma? Lol
AD jacking up threes is what Portland wants

Hope it goes 7. If we get past OKC, we can beat either of these teams.
