Beverly will be fouled out by half time
The Refs are going to make sure of it

    more from gsw fans

Kevin Durant. Seems like his mind is elsewhere. When the Clips went on a 17-5 run, you could feel what was happening. A hungry focused Durant should have stepped in. Motivated teammates, put it on himself. He seemed as disinterested as his lazy passes. I’m tired of the best in the league label being thrown at Durant. No way a LeBron led team would have lost that game.(LOL)
Steve Kerr. NO URGENCY. Did not even try to emotionally flip the switch back on. He did the Clips a favor by sitting Curry in the 3rd. The last offensive play down 1 point was a joke. It seems like other teams have caught up to Kerr’s playbook. Last night he didn’t need an offensive wrinkle, he needed to use Cousin’s injury as an emotional rally point for his team. He didn’t and they lost.
I know what you are going to say. It’s only one game. Only it’s not. We are an older team that has a lot of miles on these tires.
A lot of miles because over the last five seasons we have played a lot of basketball game. We need early exits out of these
series to stay fresh. We win last night and it’s a sweep. Now we gave them life and it’s more than likely a six game series. One more observation.

Adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it. Good is the enemy of great.

    I'll add mediocre 'play-off Klay'
He might have had a few good games in the past, but historically he’s been mediocre in the past PO games. He has the team worst -15 last night.
I’ve never liked the 2nd unit with just Klay as a main scorer.

Watching the Warriors burn a huge lead was like watching the Notre Dame cathedral fire

    In no way comparable
While the loss hurts, a series victory will quickly erase the pain. Notre Dame represents a jewel in the crown of human history—to lose it is to lose a bit of ourselves.

I would argue the Warriors loss is more akin to a tire fire burning next to a preschool populated by special needs children; sure it’s bad, and you question the judgement behind locating those tires so close to the school, but eventually all is forgotten when the kids graduate from a renowned university, get a great job, and ultimately bring home the Larry O’Brien much to the chagrin of Daryl Morey(LOL).

We may not be good, but we sure are slow.

    Refs & coaching problem
The refs should be calling the game as is; if Bev is fouling a player, then call it. Stop allowing him to get away with it even if he fouls out in the first 10 mins. I guarantee if GSW player, esp. Draymond was acting like a Bev, he would get called for the fouls. This series w/the Clips is like a back alley game with no rules. This is not a professional game; I would not even waste my money to go watch this crap. Enough about old man Jerry West! This is probably more about Doc R. It’s time for Kerr to earn his salary and motivate his team to stay focused. Come up with a better strategy. Williams plays like a starter yet comes off the bench to play with GSW sub-par bench players. That’s how he can easily dwindle down any lead.

I thought that game was going to be my last at Oracle...
I ended being a witness to the worse game I’ve seen and greatest playoff collapse. (Thankfully I was not at game 7 in 2016).

How long did that 3rd quarter last? It seriously felt like two hours from where I was. Giving up 40+ pts in back to back quarters. wtf. So damn infuriating.

Luckily I recorded this game, since I gave up watching in the third quarter. Even knowing the outcome I was amazed the Clippers pulled this game off. The Warriors had the refs on their side and still lost. They were in the bonus with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Lots of ticky-tacky calls. It was a free throw parade for the Warriors. I'm still not sure how the Clips pulled it off, but good for them winning 5 on 8. Hopefully they get better calls in their own building.

even gsw fans recognise the refs are the true MVP

Great example of why the top seed doesn't matter
because no matter what the billing, the Warriors will be matched up against their biggest rival: the NBA refs.

Not to detract from what Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell accomplished last night, but it was obvious that the constant foul calls frustrated the Warriors and destroyed their rhythm. The turning point in the game was when Steph sat with 4 fouls. (Which, most of the fouls called in the game were totally legitimate, but there were a couple against Steph that were pretty unfair.) Until that point he’d been on fire and when he came back he looked out of sorts. KD was increasingly sick of Beverley as the game went on, which led to some poor play by his standards too. And no doubt, Boogie’s injury was also a huge downer, but I think the players could have pulled through if not for the miserable, awful pace of the game and the frustration of dealing with things like Beverley’s "defense" without getting whistled for something in the process.

Overall, it was an ugly game from start to finish and my biggest takeaway is that the refs can be cruel but the basketball gods are downright malevolent sometimes, and my thoughts go out to Boogie for being on the receiving end of such a twist of fate.

I turned the game off because all the bad calls made it unwatchable for me. This is a pattern I’ve seen for years. Lots of bad call on both ends going against us. Warriors start to lose focus/momentum. I turn the game off. Warriors lose. I’m not saying it is intentional but when a game is filled with a lot of bad calls going mostly one way then the refs really can mess with the heads of the players of a team. Yes, we should rise above it, blah blah blah, but at the top level, basketball is played with a lot of instinct and when it is unclear what you are allowed to do and what the other team is allowed to get away with then it can mess with your head and your timing just enough to throw off your game.

What I saw was tons of holding by the Clippers that was not called or when it was called then our player was called for the foul. The holding was consequential. As just one example, there was a long pass to Klay in the corner and he inexplicable was unable to move which allowed the ball to sail out of bounds. If the other team is allowed to hold our players who are trying to catch the ball then that shuts down a whole part of our offense.

I realize I’m overly sensitive but I have no interest in watching this WWE kind of game that used to be basketball. I honestly thought the refs were calling fouls in our favor in the first quarter because they were embarrassed after watching tape of the first game and were trying to crack down on the shenanigans they let the Clippers get away with in that game. NBA players, especially on weaker teams, need to push the boundaries of what they can get away with. When the refs start rewarding a team for breaking the rules, for example by consistently calling fouls on the players who are being ruthlessly held, then the situation can quickly spiral out of control the game turns to ****. Just my opinion.

Lost will to go on watching basketball
It feels like I’m in an abusive relationship. I get fed up with how the games are officiated and I leave but I come crawling back later for more abuse while I am hoping they have reformed.

Isn’t scoring every time a good recipe for winning?

    KD is such a beta-beehotch.

Would love to see Bev go after Donkey next. Just irritate him till he throws a punch and gets ejected.

The warrior fans complaining about refereeing has to be the most saddest thing in the NBA right now.
I am not even mad. It's sad that people have such intense tunnel vision and a "woe is me attitude".

I hope Lou drops 30+ again...love watching him get buckets

he’s not a star, but he’s still capable of making any defender look helpless...I love his midrange jumper fading left, and his crossover is something serious

Like clockwork. Every time the Warriors need a win in the playoffs, Silver sends in Foster.
