Ayton is doing work. Can't believe how unskilled Gobert is on offense, he didn't do **** vs the Clippers not even one game lmao
This PG vs Booker duel is fantastic! Also remind me to delete any mention of pandemic p in my previous posts.
hes not really doing work as much as the Suns are utilizing him. 84% of his made field goals coming into today in the playoffs were assisted. I can’t remember one he made today unassisted so that number will probably go up. the Suns utilize him really well. They’re a great passing and cutting team in general made even better cause they’re also a solid 3 point shooting team and oh yeah ave Booker who can dominate from anywhere. they got talent.
don't discredit him because it's "assisted". Just found out that stat is inconsistent and subjective. You can pass it to him and he can do a flurry of moves and dribbles and it would still be called an assist. Just depends who the NBA wants to headline that day
That doesnt mean you can discount the stat entirely. 84% is absurdly high. Ive watched him this whole playoffs, he's not getting many baskets on his own. They are almost all off of put backs or pick and rolls.
Jvg is so right about teams needing someone that can get that midrange shot. Teams are concerned about the three and paint and Kawhi, booker, pg, cp3, KD and others have been taking advantage and attacking the mid range.
I mean. I’ve been watching the Suns. He’s not doing anything amazing out there. He’s getting solid passes in the right spot and… very much ti his credit, scoring. I’m just saying Rudy couldn’t be as effective as him but could have been much more if the offense was finding him like that. Kind of like Capela. bu absolutely Ayton is as solid of that bunch as they come. He coverts the assists - whether easy or not. - at an incredibly high rate… and there’s still the possibility in the future he continues to evolve offensively even more. he was a #1 pick
Not to belabor the point but Ayton last two shots. One was off a pass where he had to attempt to make a move. Somewhat comical looking shot. The second just rolling down the lane hammer dunk. again, to his credit for the most part he avoids the first and is happy to live off the second. It’s why he’s 10-13 from the field. something for example Dwight wouldn’t do. how many times have they just posted Ayton up? I’d say zero. that he’s the perfect guy for his role and accepts it is part of what makes them so good. Ty Lue has proven to be very good at chess in the playoffs so far. Interested to see what moves he makes after this game.
