Dirk walked in that And1. Refs need slo-mo to see it, I guess.

Dirk's playoff stats are ridiculous and he is a one man show for Dallas, morey get him.

Dwight Howard wishes he had Dirk's offensive game. Why can't your boy DH have at least some pedestrian offensive moves and not just be a glorified defensive specialist?

P.J. Carlisimo (on the Mavericks handling the Nuggets run): "It's like the little Dutch boy putting a finger in the dike."

That sounds like quite an interesting story; I'm not familiar with it.

When ur 7'1 and that athletic, u don't have to fade or u shouldn't let 6'8 guys take u out the game. Detlef was a much better post player than dirk. Maybe its because he played college ball here and got used to playing against smaller, stronger players. Dirk is a better player than detlef, but detlef used to kill guys on the blks. Ask Horry.

Dirk is a 48%+ shooter, I wouldn't complain about his offensive game he always gets his. I just cringe that his only defensive effort is a swipe at the ball

Like Marc Jackson would say: Give me Dirk Nowitzki any day of the week, he's the last reason why Dallas struggles, its the inconsistency of J.howard, and the lack of offensive balance.

First off, howard isn't my boy even though I think he does what a big man should do 26-15-3 and 68%. Next, dirk is one of the most gifted offensive players to ever play in the nba. That doesn change the fact that everything he does is a dribble drive or jumper from distance. He's a tough guard for anyone, but whether it was tracy, jackson, barnes, or bowen, we've seen those body types make him look bad.

It one thing to call him birdman, it's another to call him Bird.

Both team suck azz. We would've killed either real easy. Sigh.

Nene has come a long way. In the pre draft, he was the fastest end to end player in the whole draft. Its seems like after the bout with cancer, he's playing with more purpose.

I don't have the feeling that Mavs can win this series.

Agreed. Just saying, and not that I think you feel this way but I know some do, that reducing Dirk to just a jump shooter or some kind of pedestrian on the perimeter is simply not accurate.

I know Denver is looking good right now.. but they have played two SCRUB teams lately.. I mean damn where's the energy from the Mavs? They look just like the Hornets.. like they don't care. Honestly, if we were playing the Nuggets right now.. they wouldn't be getting jack on the fastbreak.. heck nobody would be able to get inside.

We beat them in regular season 3-1. Their offense is good. But our D is too good for them. Dallas's D is soft.

That's funny because overall Dirk is a better player the Detlef. And if a player has perfected a low post move that is almost automatic, then why try to invent yourself into something you're not? Just because you have a vision of what a 7 footer should be doesn't mean that's the correct black and white answer what a 7 footer should be. Dirk is doing fine being what he is, your advice on him notwithstanding.

Why do u have to set a high pick for a 7ft er. Bird would walk birdman to the blks and wear his ass out.

Who's your take on the best center then? Yao or Howard?

the lakers swept us 4-0 but that doesn't mean we don't have a chance.

denver is actually winning with its "defense" and their offense remains at a high level and that is what is scary. we would have a great chance of winning if we face them, but it's going to be a VERY tough series if it does indeed happen (we gotta take care of the lakers first ;) ).

the way they're shutting dallas down in the 4th defensively the last 2 games is ridiculous.
