the mavs did not play well during the regular season, it was only towards the end of the season that they turned it up with a consistent and healthy josh howard and terry was returning back to form after a hand injury. to beat the spurs in 5 games is no small feat, you can't discount the mavs that easily.

the spurs without ginobli aren't even a playoff team.

The mavs are generally very consistent about beating bad teams. But they struggle mightily against the best teams.

Your post show that you haven't paid attention. Actually, late in the season the Mavs beat all the good teams and lost to the bad teams. They beat Portland and Phoenix on the road with the playoffs on the line. They led the Lakers by 7 in the 4th on the road before ultimately losing. They beat NO, Houston, Phoenix, SA, and Philly all at home with the playoffs on the line. They did lose to Denver late without Kidd and the Mavs have won a ton of close games with Kidd making big plays in close games.

    You might have selective memory

Last 20 games of the season they lost to
    Golden State
    Lakers
    Atlanta
    Denver
    Blown out by Cleveland
    Memphis (?)
    New Orleans

Yea they beat New Orleans, Jazz, and Phoenix but those aren't elite teams.

Against the elite teams ( Lakers, Denver, Boston, Cavs ) they are 0-13 this season

THANK YOU! There are tons of Nugs fans ignoring that fact and it's driving me insane. The Mavs are a better team than they were even the last time they played the Nugs. Granted, the Nugs are better too, but not by the leaps and bounds Dallas is.

Plus, for those obsessed with the sweep, you can't really use prior games in this series. I know Melo missed at least one game of the four. Josh Howard missed at least two, and Kidd missed one as well. I'm not sure there was one game where both teams were at full strength.

    Nugs in 7.

    I hope.

Nuggets4 congratulations wit the victory. I hope we meet in the WC finals. I also hope you beat the Mavs and I'm sure you rather play the rockets than the lakers so I guess you also hope the rockets win the series.

Please beat the Mavs, Nuggets. I can't handle more Maverick-oriented Facebook status updates from old college friends.

Nuggets in 6. Nuggets swept the season series against the Mavericks, but Josh Howard didn't play in 2 of the 4 games. I think the Nuggets match-up well against the Mavericks.

Nuggets have Kenyon Martin on Dirk Nowitzki which means Dirk probably won't be going for 30 every night.

Mavericks don't have anybody on Carmelo Anthony or Nene. Erick Dampier and Josh Howard have no chance guarding Melo or Nene. That being said Nuggets in 6 for those very reasons.

I think it's going to be a very physical series.

Are you guys rooting for Dallas? I know thats frowned upon, but I'd rather play them than Denver in the WCF if we beat the Lakers.

Bodyslammed? No, Martin just elbowed him to the floor.
