    Oh BTW.

Isnt it fun watching Mavs and Cuban whine, b**** and moan while they keep choking?

It's am annual tradition in Dallas now.

...against the Mavs for once. Last time he struck for them and against the Rockets on that Finley out of bounds play in 2005.

    this ****ing league...

you all watch this game. total bull****.

I'm not Mavs fan but total hosejob and so obvious

    NBA sucks

what are you talking about? that was textbook defense. he definitely gave a foul there and it was before Melo made his move. the only thing wrong is that got shafted by the official...

your logic is like saying Artest made a bad defensive play on Kobe by getting his throat in the way of Kobe's elbow

What a horrific chokejob by the Mavs. You can't just give up on a play because you're anticipating a foul being called. Shame on Antoine Wright.

Cuban is such freaking tool. Did anybody else see him shove that cameraman out of the way? Scumbag.

The referee standing there 2 feet from the obvious foul should never referee another playoff game in his career. That was the real choke here. The Mavs are my 2nd most disliked team in the NBA, but that blown call likely cost them the game.

    This is a disgrace.

ebu, if this had happened to the Rockets, Clutchfans would have to shut down for 24-48 hours before people got over it.

Wow, are you freaking serious? I hate the Mavs, but I don't like to see refs control the outcomes of games. Wright played that PERFECTLY defensively, gave the foul at the perfect moment, and got screwed by the refs. We might not like the team, but at least look at the play objectively.

The great irony of Mark Cuban arguing that his team did foul

It should have been a foul, but you keep playing until the whistle is blown. Don't just bump him and back off. If you're trying to intentionally commit a foul, you make sure you get the whistle or you contest the shot. Anything else is bad defense.

Th refs suck. I hate dallas but they got robbed. If you have foul to give, why wouldnt a team use it? Dallas tried to. Dallas shouldnt have assumedthe refs would call it. Dallaas Assumed thats what did them in. We all know Refs are so inconsistent. They all need to go back to school.

I wonder if the mavs went up to the officials before the play with the 'we are going to foul here'. I know that's happened before.

Crappy officiating, but I don't know what Wright was doing. Wrap him up, or at least don't back off with your hands up like you didn't do anything. Especially when there was no whistle.

Oh well. I won't feel bad for the Mavs. **** 'em.

he cannot foul any harder than that or it's a flagrant. that's exactly the play you want to make there. hard bump that's before the act of shooting and cannot be interpreted for more than it is

the ref simply swallowed the whistle because he knew that Dallas had a foul to give.

if he'd stayed with the play the ref would have simply called a shooting foul... 3 FTs maybe a 4 point play. he was literally in a no win situation

No, exactly the play you want to make there is contesting the freaking shot when the whistle isn't blown. And that kind of bump is frequently a no-call. He should have used his hands.

To be fair, the ref who was closest to make the call was behind the play, and he couldn't see the reach-in by Wright through Melo's body.

...And that's why you wrap both of your arms around the guy to get the foul called.

My cynicism and disgust toward NBA officiating continue to balloon, but that not to say I'm willing to show the slightest sympathy toward the Ponies after the Finley play.

    Sucks to be Dallas. :D
