This is what happens when you have a good point guard. When you have a schitty one like Lin, the whole team becomes a mess. That's why I hate when LOFs downplayed his game by pointing to the PER stat. Lin has a lot of responsibility and he singlehandedly failed us in game 1.
I've only seen the last part of the 2nd quarter. The Nuggets don't seem to be playing with a sense of urgency on either end of the floor. Too many outside jumpers, not enough attacking the rim or crashing the offensive boards to get 2nd chance points. It's like they are asleep at the wheel. Maybe they don't think the Warriors can beat them. The Warriors shooting 60% from the field in the 1st half is a clear sign the Nuggets aren't putting out on defense. It's hard to get fast breaks when the other team is shooting so well. I assume they will shake the cobwebs off and raise the intensity up in the 2nd half.
The one that kills me isn't the Lakers letdown. It wasn't the flop against Phoenix. No, no. It was that ******* game against the Bucks at home. Where we let them stick round and Monta launched up that prayer that went in.
Yea. Not that I want our team to dwell, but after the season, I hope our guys are thinking about this. Win the games your supposed to win. If you don't treat the subpar teams like stellar teams, then you'll be facing the stellar teams in the first round.
