Fair enough, we'll agree to disagree about the first half. I will say that GSW has gotten a few more calls in the 3rd quarter though.

Corey Brewer sucks and is an idiot to boot.

Losing Gallo really hurt the Nuggets...

    Pretty much that bolded word.

If Mark Jackson can get the starters to take their defense up a notch, they are instant contenders.

Like the asker of the question said, GSW has the best shooting PG in the league, an underrated two-way 5, a double-double machine in Lee, excellent wing players in Barnes and Thompson, and a fantastic bench.

Honestly, if they get someone LIKE Bogut to back up Bogut, and get someone like a Tony Allen to help with perimeter defense, GSW can easily contend.

With Curry and Lee starting, there's no need for that much offense to fill out the starting 5.

    Curry
    "Tony Allen"
    Thompson or Barnes
    Lee
    Bogut

with Jack, Landry, Thompson/Barnes and Green coming off the bench is an excellent 9 man rotation.

They look like contenders to me. They don't even show the lack of experience one bit.

    Paul
    Curry, Parker.
    Westbrook

    Can't say for Rose yet.

Honestly Curry is big time you can't shut him down for long periods cause he has incredible playmaking skills.

If only Thunder could trade Westbrook for Curry.

Anyone else think that HTC-One graduation party commercial is obnoxious? They air it just about EVERY SINGLE commercial break, and its like 2 minutes long. Man that commercial is starting to piss me off.

as much as i am enjoying this ride from GSW (steph is becoming my favorite player to watch), i wouldn't call them contenders. maybe in 2 years if the same core is still there and no injuries. an offense that relies on jump shots is not gonna get you deep in the playoffs

Seriously after watching game 1 I knew these guys had potential to rock the west.

They got all the ingredients as long as Bogut and Curry stay healthy.

Agreed about the second half calls. I think we can both agree that Cory Brewer should maybe have his 3-taking abilities revoked effective immediately.

Bogut is pretty damn good when he's not broken.

There's a reason why Morey said Denver was the ideal matchup, when not hammered by schedule losses in Denver, their complete lack of a genuine go to guy, their best shooter being out, and how erratic their defensive rotations are in such an organised environment as playoff adjustments, they're kinda **** for a top 4 seed.
