The Nuggets had a crazy 2 to 3 minute run in the second with LeBron on the floor acting as the catalyst. He played the same role when the Nuggets had a quick run in the third. Turnovers, bad defense, and bad shots. Yeah, he wasn't the only one, but he played the biggest role.
I think people cannot underestimate the Altitude If you not use to it. . .it can be crushing Rocket River
L.A. Lakers @ Denver Scott Foster (#48) Curtis Blair (#74) Sean Wright (#4) Eric Dalen (#37) surprize surprize!
jokic could very likely end up on the bench in 'foul trouble' unable to even compete, we've seen that playbook many times over the years
I went to Pike's Peak many years ago. Took the tram up. After reaching the top, it feels like you are in molasses and there is resistance against every limb movement. They advised us to pace ourselves, sit down and rest for part of the time and avoid much exertion. I decided to push myself hard, walk around at a good pace and see everything there was to see. It was very exhausting. I ended up with a headache that last 3 days. If only they had mentioned the after-effects.
Agree with him on the Lakers always having a scapegoat, but 6/20 and 1/9 is pathetic. D-Ro was clearly the flattest tire on the Lakers. That said, the passiveness of Austin Reeves and complete lack of aggression from Hachimura were also part of the problem. It makes me wonder if the Nuggets planned on letting AD and LeBron dominate the 1st half and wear themselves out. Tonight, I expect the Lakers to focus on spreading shots around early on so LeBron and AD have energy to mount a closing run in the 4th quarter. It's pretty bad for the Lakers that LeBron and AD played the 3rd quarter and they still got pummeled. I can't think of a counter for them. Often against the Nuggets, Lakers compete very well into the 3rd quarter but get killed with 4th quarter runs. It cracked me up the Nuggets ran so many two-man offense sets in the 3rd. Maybe they sensed the exhaustion and decided to go for an early kill.
I think the league does Lebron a solid and heavily helps out the Lakers in one of their home games to avoid the sweep. Even then I expect that one will be a close one.
