Yea it was sick. It was even better when he came from behind the backboard and did it.

I forgot how many big names were in that contest -- VC definitely deserved the win.

On a positive note - Tracy made it out of the first round !

They need to add more participants, i liked it back in the day when they had five or six because it gave more ppl a chance to see more dunks. The whole one on one final dunk round is crap cuz its usually one person runs away with it. They gotta use the old system again too, when they gave them 3 dunks in the first round again too. I dont know why the hell they tried to jazz it up with that stupid dunk wheel that f#$% over steve francis the next year. Statue of Liberty dunk? Steve cant palm the ball b****es.

Oh yeah and what the hell happened to Jamario Moon this year? I was unimpressed, he pulled a Josh Smith :( And i was pulling for him.

it was a reverse 360 windmill it was an amazing dunk there is a reason why i've only seen josh smith replicate it and I think he got a 50 on his attempt too.

oh and something that bug me when watching that airborne show on tnt when they starting talking about VC he kept saying how he literally had to beg Tmac to be in it and stay in it up until the week before the contest. thats kind of lame, tmac admits he isnt a crazy dunker (but he is one of the better ones in the league) but still show some competitive spirit.

oh and pretty much any other year SF would have won the contest with his performance that night

VC definitely deserved to win that. That's the most impressive string of dunks I've ever seen. IMO, he's definitely the best dunker of all-time.

I wish Stevie was 3/4 as explosive today as he was back then.

I have strong hopes that Francis will be back. However, I really do hope he can make it back this year playoff which would then be awesome. Any news of his surgery? Has he undergone the surgery and now recuperating or rehab?

They really need to go back to that format. The 2000 Dunk Contest is how the dunk contest should be today. It gives variety, excitement and more competition.
