Some dude on those forums got so annoyed by the camera not moving, he flew down to Africa, adjusted it, and went back home to Alaska.

I have been dozens of times on Safari in South Africa - Kruger, Londolozi, Sabi Sands, Mala Mala, etc etc etc and I have NEVER seen a cheetah!!!!!!

It is ridiculous. I have seen over 350 species of bird, all the big five, leopard ALL the time...yet no cheetah. It is my biggest failing.

Well to be honest with you, the cheetah we saw was not in the wild but in a rehab centre(it was also my biggest failing, along side with the pangolin, even tough nobody sees a pangolin). But al the other cats we saw in the wild.

It is strange we also saw leopard on a couple occasions, we also saw african wild dogs, and a lot of rare animals, but not cheetah.

I think the still photos people are posting in that forum are from a different waterhole, Pete's Pond.

    Pete's Pond:

Pete's Pond is hosted by National Geographic. The quality of video is a lot better and the camera moves. You will need real player to view Pete's Pond.

Personally, I like the wavelit pond camera better, even though the quality is less.

So far I have seen a couple of vultures. I am hoping to see more soon. But I think sunset is probably near.

    Aww you lucky $#$$%^!!!

I'm honestly not a big fan of nature AT ALL, just wildcats. I'll watch them all day, and would kill to go on a Safari soon.

I'd love to get a tiger of my own as lots of people do it here (middle east) with the cash to afford the labor, the huge cage/ecosystem thingie they build, and the tiger itself (blackmarket imports) but I just don't like the idea of a wild animal not actually being in the wild.

    Cheetah's are a close 2nd.

Have you guys seen Panthers or Jaguars?

Hell yeah...big cats rule. My favorites are probably Tigers, Lynx, and Cheetahs. I like cats because they are such great and efficient hunters. You should see some of the stuff my cat at home has killed...

It's a shame this is really a time delay of a video somewhere near Kerrville, TX.

I think there was a lone wildebeast on there just now. It left so unless someone saw it they won't be able to confirm.

Too early in the morning. I think they're still reproducing... I mean most of them. I mean the animals. I mean in Africa. I mean in the morning. I mean, damn, they're lucky. :(
