I wrote that it may be possible to do it, not that they should do it.

With the hiring of D'Antoni, it's certain that the Rockets won't consider a complete rebuild. But if they wanted to get a jump start in the process with a top 2 pick, this could be the year to do it.

Harden is better than the ceiling of any of the guys in this draft. There are some studs for sure, but come on - Ben Simmons is the presumptive #1 and he can't shoot in a league that has gone 3pt crazy. He may be very good eventually, but Harden is already on some nights the best player in the NBA. His only problem is keeping that focus across 82 games. I'll take a guy who has proven he can be the best player in the NBA many nights of the season over for many years over unproven potential.

What's the point of bringing up something for argument's sake that we all know is never going to happen - yourself included? It just makes it look like your trolling...

It's just considering the possibilities, that's all. No trolling involved here.

Personally, I'm still waiting until the end of the offseason to see what Morey is able to do, but given the current state of the Rockets and the roster that's around Harden at this point, I think the better route right now could be a rebuild.

    But it's all good.

Can we trade or sign and trade DMo? Something like DMo+our early 2nd round pick for #15-#20?

    On the contrary.

Every time I blaming Morey drives you nuts.
It really makes me think someone raped half of your family...

Take Harrell, Llull, and Gentile out.

Can you still name 5 GMs that has had a better track record at drafting in the late 1st/early 2nd?

Sorry sack of players that every GM in the league would take in the late 1st/early 2nd.

Some people have no perspective on how difficult it is to find quality players late in the draft.

I thought that Morey was certain and it was so easy to move up but now what's with this new article? Its supposedly better to stay pat? The price is too high? What happened? Can it be he talked way too big and was too overconfident?

Speaking of missing out on our late lottery pick because of the stupid playoff appearance,

2 things we need reallllly bad right now: A PG / Scorer to replace the failed Ty Lawson experience, and a Back Up Center if we let Capela start at the C and to replace the hole of Dwight Howard.

Well now we see Jeff Teague go for essentially the pick we would have had were we edged out of the playoffs like the Jazz last year. AND people are starting to think Nerlens Noel could be had for a late lottery pick. So we could have filled 1 of those 2 big holes immediately with our lost late lottery pick.

    Bev/Teague
    Harden/xx
    Durant/Ariza
    Horford/Beasley
    Capela/D-Mo

    Conley/Bev
    Harden/xx
    Durant/Ariza
    Beasley/D-Mo
    Capela/Noel
