I'm not going to take my advice on watches solely based on one website, because other websites have good reviews of Fossil watches. Besides, even with 30% off that's out of my price range. Also, the 125 dollar one is on sale on amazon for about 80 bucks. So a reputable brand, 20 bucks UNDER my price range, exactly what I was looking for, AND a great warranty and price for my first real watch.. Yeah think I'm going with that.
Definitely a brand worth saving up a little for, easily find one of that quality (diamonds that is) online for $300-400. Of course if you're just getting into watches, it's best to go with something a little less expensive than to buy something like that and realize you don't particularly enjoy wearing them.
Just FYI, a fossil watch is pretty lame - they even make fun of them on Jersey Shore if that helps you at all.
Also, why are you so concerned about warranty? Are you really going to be that devastated if your $80 watch breaks down and they won't fix it for free?
I have almost the same one, but I paid more like $50. It's a very good looking watch, but the crown scratched really easily. That's no big deal at $50, but I'd be upset if I paid $200 for it.
Well, no but it is a plus. Also like I stated earlier I'm just getting into watches. For my first watch I'm going with something like this. I will definitely look at this thread again though when the time comes..
Good watches you can buy for about $300 - Tissot, Victorinox, Bulova, Citizen, Hamilton, Wenger. Watches that watch enthusiasts scoff at - Fossil, Invicta, Kenneth Cole, Relic. If you're thinking of any of these you might as well save some money and get a Timex. Spend $350 and get this timeless beauty - http://forums.watchuseek.com/f29/fs-tissot-visodate-black-dial-$350-00-a-575931.html
I was thinking of getting an Invicta a little while back, I love the larger more intricately designed faces. But then ran into the knowledge they're not the most reliable, so I decided against it. Like I had mentioned before, IMHO given the price range, Bulova is the way to go, followed closely by Hamilton.
