This is the correct answer. From someone who knows all about IP masking right down to the bit level. The only alternative to IP addressing is MAC addresses and they says nothing about location.

I had heard that you could still see the Rockets without Comcast as long as you bought League Pass, without even having to hide your IP. Is that not true?

Built in VPN software on android, iPads and iPhones can be used all you need to do is sign up to a service like hide my ass so that you can get credentials to configure your built in vpn tosign to a remote server( outside of houston IP address) therefore tricking your league pass app to think you are outside of houston thus enabling your local home team feeds and if you have Apple TV you can the airplay(mirror) the game from your apple device wirelessly to your TV

Forenzi is correct. But you shouldn't bring up subnet masking and MAC addresses. They have nothing to do with anything here. You're trying too hard to sound knowledgeable.

A minimum of 16 or 17? I think you need to realize how the national games work. Each channel can only have a team on so many times. If we're counting NBA Tv...sure they could be on 16 times, but those NBA TV games are blacked out for people in and around Houston. They'll probably be scheduled for about 8 or so...then get a few games added during the season.

According to this, the Heat, Thunder and Knicks had the maximum national games last year at 25 apiece.

    Thanks.

The Rockets during the YaoMac era use to get between 12-15 national games. I can see this younger, faster, and higher scoring team getting 17 or so. The Beard, Superman, Mr Good Looks, and Linsansity. That's enough to carry quite a few primetime games.

There is a nba game time channel for Roku. You just have to log in with your league pass account.
