Elway rushed for a lot more yards I'm sure.

It's amazing the great QBs that Kubiak has coached and yet he settles on Matt Schaub.

Actually, Denver's choice to replace Elway was none other than Brian Griese, a 3rd round pick who was a "smart" QB with a noodle arm, little escapability, but a good game manager.

But then Griese had to get hurt and force them to bring in Jake Plummer, who was a washed up poor-man's old-Elway. If the trend holds, I predict the next Texans QB is going to be Micheal Vick.

I'd take Vick in our offense.

He would take a lot less hits in our QB friendly scheme and when he does run would be doing soout of bounds via the bootleg.

Is anyone seeing what a dismal first half of the season the Falcons are having? If only this was the NBA where we could use assets to acquire Matt Ryan. There are a ton of better options out there than Schaub.

Matt Schaub after the game: "I'm motivated to make sure that the fans who burned my jersey last week will go out and buy another jersey, burn that jersey and hopefully purchase another jersey"

What a terrible article. I loved the part about how talented Denver's teams were early in Elway's career. Yeah...all those offensive weapons around him...like ummmm...like...ummm..Sammy Winder? and ummm...Ricky Nattiel? And ummm....ummmm.

This article is Exhibit "A" of where stats can fail you...where they can be grossly misleading. I was just waiting for him to tell me about how great the Texans' offense has been since they keep winning the time of possession battle.

Vick is better than Schaub at least :p but he's always missing games every year at this point...

Kubiak also did coach Steve Young, he was the QBs coach for the 9ers.

I'd even take Cam Newton at this point. I think he's fixable. QB trades are possible, but usually during the draft and not in the middle of the year.

Vick's name kind of came off the top of my head when writing that last post, but assuming the Texans do cut Schaub after the season, it wouldn't be the worst idea to bring in Vick and then draft a QB in the 1st or 2nd round. Better than most other plausible scenarios I see the Texans actually doing.

Do you really think he's available? I know he's been disappointing, but damn that's a lot of talent there. Would you give up a first for him?

I just watched a rookie named Geno Smith who didn't look all that great his senior in college, looked terrible in the preseason, won the QB position in NY by default go out pitch a near perfect game and beat the NFC's number one seed last season on their home field. Yeah let's stick with Schaub, he is better than Elway.

That said, he was solid his first few years in Houston
