Wake me up when Lebron has shown some interest in coming to Houston.

    Twat
    FlipVid
    Overrated interview
or old fashioned note on letterhead

Until he wants to come here, not worth talking about.

Can you guys imagine the CRAZYNESS!!! that would be going on if Lebron did join the Rockets? This site would instantly crash from all the bandwagoners for one thing. The Rockets would instantly become a global brand like Manchester United or NYY. Heck, we might even get to see more than one game on national tv per annum.

Do you really think there needs to be a clue? Of course Morey is interested in James...that comes without question. And I can guarantee that he has looked into that possibility. Every GM in the league has done the same.

based on his history, yes i do. better time and effort can be spent on someone that we're capable of getting.

Lebron in NYC/nj/chi/Mia = NBA icon

Lebron in Houston = worldwide icon

I thought lebron Inc was smart and business minded... Obviously they aren't opened up to the other side of the world.

Remember the YOF's and TOF's that Clutch once "***"?

Well we'd have a new breed of LOF here. This site would probably double in new members compared to when we drafted Yao.

Huh, funny, I don't ever recall Jim Carrey saying that in Dumb and Dumber. I remember him saying, "So you're telling me there's a chance..." Maybe that was a different version of the movie ;)

Lebron is all planet. People in Asia know who he is....hell half of them probably are involved in assembling his shoes.

There are plenty of places he wouldn't be recognized, even here in the US.

A true global figure would be Princess Diana, for example.

Maybe the percieved lack of interest by Morey has more to do with Cleveland's claim that they will not SnT.

That's called a smoke screen. We should be expecting LeBron *more* since Morey's doing anything *but* that.

For all we know, he could actually be bringing back a prime Hakeem by using a time machine that he invented all by himself, for the purpose to bring back the greatest center of all time. Morey, I must say you truly are amazing

The media=drama. It's nice that after a season of media drought, Houston is getting back in the picture but let's not get too excited. Bosh is looking for a ring. Maybe multiple rings. I think we're an appealing team for any player to have a chance to really grow and gather an international audience. That is, any player who doesn't want a ring very very very soon. Unfortunately, the roster is going to look different after trades and winning a ring with a new team, a team that hasn't even played with each other much, isn't going to happen. So, as much as I would like a Yao-Bosh-Martin-Brooks-Ariza/Battier/whoever you like- starting five, I don't think its realistic.

If you mean China, there will always be those Kobe homers. Unfortunately. :(

Kobe's not playing with any Chinese players, whereas LeBron will have Yao to partner up with for his commercial expansion...... But still, there's wayyyy more people wearing Kobe jerseys on the Great Wall in Beijing than anything else, lol.

The Chinese are frickin RICH nowadays..... Made 2 trips back in the past year after living in the States for 11 years. The affluence of the common people over there had me stunned. With like 20 billion people, there's $$$$$$$ to be made with Yao for sure.

u sure about that? people in tokyo and yokohama still talk of MJ, Magic, Bird, Olajuwon(yes), nd then iverson, shaq, kobe, nash(tabuse played for the suns), and yao (but they call him Yo Mei).

the ppl who watch bball know Kobe and to a much lesser extent lebron and a few that dont watch bball know shaq n the little guy (kobe).

havent run into many non-ballers who know lebron. more ppl know iverson. ive tried to talk about lebron with some ppl when the olympics were going on and they kept pointing at Wade and asking if he was the 2nd best after kobe and if he was lebron.

in fact one kid knew Devin(sp?) Harris and Dirk but had no idea who lebron was.
