Why do so many people like or want to like Arenas? He's a dumb-ass.

He should just predict 50 points before every game he plays. He's bound to be right one of these days, right?

After taking the high road after the comments Kobe made earlier in the season, it's disappointing to see Arenas run his mouth like this.

I like this strategy by Gilbert. Proclaim that you will drop 50 on a particular night. That way, if you do it then you are a hero and if you don't you can just say it was a trick so that your teammates would be open. So if Arenas fails to get 50 against the Blazers again he will be bragging about how he fooled them twice. LOL

The point about Lebron is true to a degree. I think Lebron has very fragile confidence. If he has it going on a night then he wants to shoot the final shot. If he is having an off night pretty much packs it in and wants no part of shooting the ball in the clutch.

It's all in good fun... remember in the playoffs when the Wizards were playing the Cavs? Gilbert needed two clutch free throws in the end. I think he missed the first one. Then LeBron walked passed him, nudged him, and told him he was going to miss. Then Gilbert misses the second free throw.

Gilbert might be right about LeBron not being a last-shot type guy to a certain degree. IMO, if LeBron has 20pts 10rbs and 9 asts at the end of a game to try and win or tie, he's going to pass the ball.

not exactly. he wasn't the greatest guy when he was leaving GS for the Wiz...wasn't the nicest when he was left off the All Star team last yr..etc.

I believe you're referring to the play where he was able to cut through four guys because he was allowed to take four steps.

It's not just this season. He was ALWAYS like that. His bad press somehow never really got front paged and he's always tried to say the right thing to the NATIONAL media. Read his quotes from the local area newspapers. He's always been this way.

I agree. I may be losing some respect from Gilbert. He used to be my favorite non-Rockets player because he let his game speak for himself. Now, he's just talking smack while costing his team to lose the last game and not even crack 10.

Gilbert is telling the truth. Everyone needs a Sam Cassell cause he's a true hero and we know what he can do. Everyone needs a Robert Horry too.

Why can't people just take care of their business and leave the ego at home?

Gilbert's success is really going to his head. He is an ass, he needs to keep his mouth shut and take care of his own damn business. You don't see guys like T-Mac or Kobe or wade doing that stuff. They are class guys and professionals.

He reminds me of Chad Johnson.

And then Chad Johnson learned to shut his mouth.

On top of that, I feel like Chad Johnson was always about winning.. but either way, he figured it all out and stopped being stupid. Maybe Arenas will, too

Arenas is a douche. Can't wait for him to get injured. He's just an attention grabbing w****. He's having a lucky season right now but he'll never be at the same level as T-mac, Kobe, Lebron & Wade.
