Was he surrendering towards the end before the police killed him?

All of your scenarios are possible.

So is the scenario that he was reaching for a gun.

The point is, when someone has already been proven to be willing to be extremely violent towards the police then makes a move as if reaching for a gun, I don't think it makes sense to jump to the over-zealous cops conclusion.

At a minimum, it is impossible to overlook that he made said move right before getting shot.

    Here's a longer version.

    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Z5nW_qwIr94?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The cops didn't even render aid at the end. They continued to stand 15 feet away for awhile. Then when they did approach him, they handcuffed him.

Several ppl are yelling saying "It was just a rock. Hey Stupids, it was just a rock."

Those rocks looked like grenades to me.

    Police are peacekeepers.

And that's what exactly the police did to that man, they let him rest in peace.

i dont think it looked like he was going for a gun. he was running, his arms were kind of stretched out, turned around, dropped his arms and got shot.

but maybe the police did think he was going for a gun. they will definitely go with the "he went for a gun" defense and get off. still doesn't justify the first part when they let shots rang after throwing he threw that first rock. cops don't chase people anymore?

I just watched it again over and over. It's right at that 17 second mark.

He makes a real strange jerky move with both hands and twisting his body a bit down towards his left hip.

    It's a strange move.

I have no idea why he did it.

I just know that relative to other incidents we've seen recently where we've heard or seen video noting victims clearly with just their hands ups, etc... some weird kind of move did happen here, and I think a cop saying "I thought he was going for a gun" is completely believable based on the video shown... EVEN though said cop maybe shouldn't have thought that given the situation.

I don't know. I'm not a cop nor do I have any proper training to be one.

He was clearly throwing 100mph speed bombs like clemens to the dome. His galloping was a dead giveaway.

That is my first reaction too. First, no he shouldn't throw rocks at an officer.. But they started shooting at him in a crowded intersection and then when he starts to flee shoot him again and finish him when he was up against a wall?

There may be more to this, but it needs to be investigated.

Remind me to tell you about my case of mistaken identity and the full-blown run in I had with the MFPD. Glocks pointed at my head, cuffed in the back of the squad car for about an hour, the whole 9 yards. Scared the hell out of me.

Ruined my streak, I hadn't been pulled over in 11 years and the 1 time it happens I was doing nothing wrong.

May be in Houston late next week/weekend, btw.

Yeah thats why I don't think that motion even matters. They fired on him prior to that when he was just running.
