This is exactly how he was playing In the playoffs last year. Supposedly he’s in better shape tho, so maybe he comes out and drops 30 on us next game. We’ll see. Doesn’t look like it though.

Chris is going to have a couple of great elim games. It's not enough to carry teams all the way, but he knows what he has in the tank.

In these 2 playoff games he looks very similar to 2018-2019 cp3. However, this regular season for OKC, he was somewhere between 2017-2018 cp3 and last year's. He committed even more to conserving his energy on defense and let SGA and Shroeder get the ball early in the first half and really only turned it on in the 4th quarters of their games by hunting midranges in the clutch very efficiently against bigs that were sagging on screens. He's just not seeing traditional defenses like that against us so it really does mitigate what made him very good/great this regular season.

Definitely agree the trade was great for both teams. Westbrook is obviously a superior player at 31 than cp3 at 35, as well as a better fit for Harden, who really just wanted his #2 to micro-manage less and put the ball in the basket more. Though, you could argue that in our 2017-2018 season, in addition to cp3 not getting hurt, if harden would've went along with some of cp3's obsessive attention to detail, it would've bode well for our team overall.

I am in no way suggesting this but Russ' injury could have been worse and it wouldn't have been that clear if he was the same again coming back.

In terms of injuries, Brodie's style of playing and him getting older, it is not conducive to staying healthy long term.

I see him never playing a back to back again in near future.

Where are all the experts saying Morey made the mistake of a lifetime trading away the Point God?

    @YOLO

40M 35 yr old gets destroyed by vet min Rivers and Russ who isn't even playing (0 vs -36 plus minus)

The crazy thing is the trade is supposed to be evaluated 2-3 years from now, when Cp3 is 37 and WB is 33 lol. Morey def made out like a bandit on that trade, erased a mistake that would've closed the window shut in the Harden era.

We only have him at the max for 4 more years, I highly doubt he is gonna fall off hard in that time span. If you look at Iverson he only started losing speed at age 35 which incidentally is also the age the Point God became Cliff Paul.

Brodie's injury this time isn't chronic, it's just a chest quad strain so its not a big deal. These types of injuries happen I mean Tucker seems to be dealing with neck pain right now he gets massages during time outs.

It's tough for Paul who was playing unexpectedly great basketball this year to have to stop for 3 months and then do it again

Chris Paul strengths: Can move the paul, orchestrate the offense making smart passes.
Can shoot fairly well when he's open.
Plays smart most of the time having learned to use his weapons in order to make up for what his body can no longer do. He's adapted
    Can play team defense well

Christ Paul Weaknesses: Can no longer guard any other guards one on one.
Can't blow by defenders. This is even worse than it was last year.
Still gets undue responsibility to run the team and be the go-to performer based on his past.

CP3 looks like he knows he's on a team that can't win it all this year. He knows it's just a matter of time and is probably looking forward to leaving the bubble.
