Meltdowns are so entertaining in a morbid kind of way.

So, you're not an Astros fan. Because an Astros fan would never take pleasure in watching an Astro (much less arguably the greatest player in franchise history) not do well.

You're a trolling moron who would rather win an internet argument than watch the Astros and their players succeed. In two words, you suck.

I don't see the big deal in 3000 hits. Biggio is Mr. Astro. 2500 or 3000 hits, Biggio is still Mr. Astro.

It is tough for me watching his shadow play these days.

How many Astros have 3,000 hits? It may not be a big deal to you, but it's a big deal regardless.

I want to see him get it. I don't want to see the team suffer dozens of losses waiting on him to get there, and I don't think they have or will. The difference between .240 and .280 is about a dozen or fifteen basehits. Odds are 7 or 8 eight of those runs score, and I don't think that costs the Astros the division.

It's amazing how trolls pick a veteran and pile on, acting like he's singlehandedly costing the Astros the World Series. And typically, while regurgitating this drivel all over cyberspace, the troll is taking digs at everyone else's intelligence. Yes, that *must* be right--all of MLB is wrong, and almost every fan here is wrong, or "unintelligent", or "morons", and troll is right. Aaah, life as a dumbass.

nah, i'm a huge fan, the difference is, i'm not a blinded homer. i can be critical of players on my teams and decisions that my teams make. i care about improvement and the best possible team being on the field.

so many times we hear how individual achievements mean nothing in team sports. over the past several years, biggio has **** all over every single child's face who was ever taught to believe that.

people like you really have no reason to post on this board. we all know your position on every single astros-related issue. they can do no wrong in your eyes....like a 5-year old! GB those with the inability to think for themselves.

amazing again. i love how you guys can change your song from "yeah, my idol CRAIG BIGGIO is washed up   ! look how awesome i think he's performing over the first 2 weeks of the season!" to "well, he's not singlehandedly costing us the world series", in just a couple weeks.

ahhh sweet denial. so so tastey.

You're the only person on the North American continent to say Biggio isn't a team player. But, you're right. Everyone in Major League Baseball is wrong.

And to the drivel above--it isn't due to someone's agreement with the Astros that you throw out this insult. It's because they have the gall to disagree with you. And, frankly, you're full of ****.

What I said was, "this is his swan song", and "they should move him to 6th in the order after he gets 3,000." But, be amazed at figments of your imagination.

    keep melting down. It's entertaining.

he didnt disagree with me. he said i'm not a fan because i disagree with the roster that management puts on the field.

and, answer this: did craig biggio decide to play this season because he's a team player and thought he was the astros best bet at 2nd base to win the world series? or so he could reach 3,000 hits?

and why is he retiring after the season? he knew a year ahead of time that he would suck in 2008? and that the astros would have a better option at 2nd? what a team player.

then what the hell are you even arguing about? just because you dont like me? lol. that's kinda sad.

oh well, at least you know he's awful, even if you won't say it outright. i'll give you credit for that.

I'm not sure he's said he's retiring after this season. Much of the "Biggio is retiring" is speculation from the folks who think he'll go to the bench after he reaches 3,000, and it's taken on a life of its own. People think Biggio said it himself, but for the most part, it's an assumption that is often (falsely) attributed to him. He's mentioned it as a possibility, like it is for a lot of players, but he's definitely open-minded to playing longer if he's productive.

Precisely. My "swan song" comment was a statement of opinion, not fact.

Kinda like when we were kids and you'd throw a rock at a wasp nest or into an ant pile just to watch them go nuts. Pure entertainment. Keep throwing a troll a bone, and he'll keep doing his jig.

Biggio is the greatest Astro ever and one of the really good people in sports.

IMO, he has a free pass all year if Burke/Loretta or anyone else that can play 2nd is not getting time in the second half when they should be it's on Garner not Biggio. I will never question Biggio's work ethic and desire to play well so it's on Phil if he does not hit and playes everyday.

IMO, this is one of those rare situations in which he deserves a standing O everytime he is a the plate this season. We owe it to him, Biggio is on par with Dream, Earl and Nolan.

This is why they shouldn't let people close to the internet without taking a reading comprehension test first. Lucky for you they don't because you would fail miserably like the miserable person you are.

You can disagree with roster decisions all you want. I tend to be a homer because to me, sports is entertainment. If I'm going to become a ****ing spoil sport like you, I have no need to watch. Why would I do that?

But, as you plainly missed in my critique of your dumbass, I wasn't criticizing you or anyone else who wants Biggio benched. I'm criticizing you taking pleasure in him not playing well. With all apologies to msn, you are not a real fan if you take pleasure in any part of the team failing.

So, long story short, be happy that I'm dumb enough to feed your non-Astros fan troll ass.
