This would be a teeny bit more of a let-down for Astros fans.

Biggio's 3000th hit would be the greatest individual acheivement in Astros history... Nolan Ryan's 5,000'th strikeout would have been, had we not had an ass for an owner.

Considering that Selig is not planning on attending the game where Bond breaks Aaron's record maybe he should show up to watch Biggio crack 3,000.

what's wrong people? cat got your tongue?? god bless you halfwits who dont understand that statistics are skewed over the first couple weeks of the season because of small sample sizes

welcome back home, craiggers! come to papa. the proud papa who knows how pathetic your career has become, and what a complete joke of a player you are.

let's revisit some stats, shall we?

3rd to last OBP amongst all leadoff hitters in the major leagues. 2 teams have worse though, washington and tampa bay!

3rd to last OBP amongst all qualified 2nd baseman in the MLB

    batting avg down to .240

let's not forget that he's easily the worst defensive 2nd baseman in the game!

keep up the good work craig! 3,000 is just a few months away!

    biggio and ausmus till 2015!!!!

Ausmus is 2nd among all NL catchers with at least 100 plate appearances in OBP.

Let me guess...you touch yourself while thinking of Morgan Ensberg's relatively high OBP the last couple years. Cause its inevitable that Craig haters are always the Sabrdorks who ride Ensberg's jock endlessly.

But thats whats good about baseball...something for everybody. When I think back on the great baseball moments I have seen, I will have Biggio's 3000th hit. And any of numerous titanic Bagwell blasts. And you will have that time that MoBerg took a really close one for ball four.

not at all. neither of them should be playing. but, excellent job of somehow changing your jockriding of biggio to "well, ensberg sucks too!", since you morons who defend the washed up pathetic insult to the game, who has stuck around 4 years longer than he should have to put himself above the team and game and chase a personal goal, have the inevitable egg all over your faces that i knew you would, since i understand reality better than you guys and stuff.

ah, the beauty of watching all of y'alls arguments going to garbage to the point that you have to incoherently quote movies and scramble for insults.

keep up the juvenille "insults" that you're turning to because you got nothing else to say about your favorite 40-year old travesty.

the sweet satisfaction of being right all the time. sorry you guys dont have the intellect to ever experience it.

I am still waiting for your response to the fact that Ausmus is 2nd in the NL in OBP for catchers since you are using Biggio's low OBP against him (and you ragged on Ausmus in the same post).

Wow. You know how many people in MLB, counting every person on every roster, share your opinion?

But that's OK. You're right, and they're all "morons who ride Biggio's jock."

Reading posts like yours are like ogling a train wreck as one drives down the highway. You know you shouldn't. You know there's no redeeming value, but you just can't help but stare with this appalling, morbid sense of horrified awe, as you think, "DAMN, that was stupid."

A new train wreck whilst I was posting.

The only thing more morbid than misplaced arrogance is self-deluded misplaced arrogance.
