Is that worse . . .than if he had shot someone else in the face?

Our former VP shot a man in the face . . . I don't think anyone beat him down

Police should not be in the REVENGE business.

Hard to judge until IAD gets done with the case.

Cue: Law and Order music. (DUMN dumn!)

The easy part of all this? Thanks to the guy's priors, and shooting a cop in the face (whether or not the cop aggravated the situation), well, he doesn't need more much rope to hang himself.

I think every sane person knows that cops are going to protect their own. If you shoot a cop or are in a position to be clearly accused of doing so, it comes with the territory.

One was an accident. This case doesn't sound like that. If it was an eye for an eye the cop could have shot this guy in the face.

So revenge should be expect AND ACCEPTED?
Is this for anyone . .. or do Cops get this special privilege?

    Too black and white, RR.

If you shoot my wife in the face, I'll shoot you in the face in a NY second.

You shoot a fellow citizen of Denton Co. in the face, I'll make sure you don't go anywhere.

yet . . . you would be prosecuted if you retaliated like that
    as you should be

I doubt their be much prosecution in this case. .

Pretty much. The same goes with people who fight cops. Even if the cop is wrongly arresting you, tell it to the judge. If you run or try to hit a cop, you're going to get your ass beat.

Even though corrupt cops drive me insane and cops abusing their power is a real problem for me these guys put their lives on the line day in and day out, I have no problems with cops beating the **** out of someone who shot one of their own. Why? Because I would have done the same thing if I were them.

Same goes in stories like these -

Do you have any evidence that they whooped his ass? He was an armed man that had already shot someone in the face. The injuries appear superficial. How do you know that they did not have to tackle him on the concrete or that he was tackled while fleeing?

I agree it is possible that they just roughed him up, but your contention is flawed. It is not necessarily "police abuse or blue justice".

    How do you KNOW
    it was
    REVENGE?
    How do you KNOW
    that it was not
    NECESSARY to
    OVERWHELM and
    SUBDUE
    the
    SUSPECT
    as he might have been
    RESISTING
    ARREST?

I detect bias. Need more facts.
